2012 Tacoma Microphone Not Working?

I just picked up my new 2012 Tacoma with the Display Nav and Audio. I love the truck, but when I make a call (or someone calls me), the other person can't hear me. I've checked all the bluetooth and phone settings on both the phone and head unit. I'm guessing this may be a problem with the microphone that sits near the map lights on the overhead console. Any ideas on what I can do to troubleshoot/fix this? I would prefer not to have to take it in to the dealer if I can fix it myself.
