Hey all, just shopping for a trailer and was wondering if anyone knows of this combo will work. 2200 pounds dry with 500 pounds tongue weight. Loaded it should weigh in at about 3200 pounds. Thanks in advance.

Should be fine. 4th gear is your friend.

Thanks Jim, what size trailer are you pulling. Also, have you done any modifications to facilitate your setup?

I pull a Lance 1475. 3200lbs dry. 400lb tongue weight. No special equipment.

We often carry a bunch of stuff in the bed of the truck too, recovery gear, tools, camping stuff. That and the tongue weight made the truck sag further in the rear than I wanted - hence the air bag suspension. You can see in the photo here that it rides level now even with the extra weight:

At those weights you may not need to make any changes to your tow vehicle. Airbags can help the sag in the rear, but they are no replacement for a WDH setup - the bags will not help distribute the load to the front axle like a WDH will, but like I said - you may not have any issues. I added a WDH/Sway control for my little GeoPro just because I knew I would be over 1/2 (if not more) of the 650lb tongue weight limit and it is just an added piece of mind.
