I saw one on the road the other day in person. IMO Toyota should have changed more than just the front end. It looks down right tacky.

The front end of a "new" truck and the rear end of the previous year, should have spiced it up a bit.

There's not enough bandwidth for what's happening.
I have an '05 TRD OR after having an '95 ext cab v6. I really like the 1st gens the best. I tried hard to find an '04 TRD, but I gave up and got the '05.

The 2012 looks like change just for the sake of change.

I test drove a 2011 and a 2012 the other day. The interior of the 2011 was painful to be around after seeing the 2012 upgrade. The exterior of the 2012 is a vast improvement over the 2005-2011. People modify the 2005-11 lights to make them look more aggressive. They plastidip the valance black or add vinyl / paint. the 2012 addresses all the things cosmetically so many people modify.

The pics do not do the 2012 justice. The angles of the bumper arent fully captured correctly in the photos. You have to see it in person to appreciate it. There are no problems with the front end matching the lines of the truck. The new front end actually matches the angles and the curves that have been blended throughout the entire truck body.

Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.
I haven't test drove yet and am still a fan of the 05-11's because they look tougher, but I agree the pics don't do it justice, it looks really good in person.

They are going to drive the same. the interior lighting of the 2011 was so hard on the eyes. Im glad they made the changes. I wasnt looking forward to ripping apart the dash to do different LED's.

I think its funny that you have to defend the '12 so much. Every post I see from you is about you convincing everyone else that the '12 is awesome.

Just get your '12 when the time is right...I am getting mine soon...as I too believe the '12 is a big upgrade.......but.......just don't try so hard to convince everyone.....go back and read your posts.

    Peace

Im reading the same thing from everyone that hates it. Lots of people are coming around after they see it in person though. thats funny to me. Im hearing all kinds of off the wall comparisons. people comparing it to a catfish all the way to a minivan. kind of irrational IMO.

Hail patron saint SAIRS! I will follow you to battle as people continue to compliment catfish, bulldogs, stormtroopers and mini vans. The same comparisons come and come again and it does get old, but I didn't realize how bad ass catfish look until someone opened my eyes on this forum lol. It seems like catfish look like a kick ass Tacomas! Sweet!!!
