OK I tried searching but am totally confused with what I found.

I want a lock for the 2012 DC tailgate and am not sure what the model number for pop&lock and where to buy it. Help please?

Thank you, this is the one that I remove the existing back up camera and install it in the new handle right?

It looks like the camera in the PL5300 is on the left side of the handle. The 2012 I saw, I think the camera is on the right side. Is this right?

Yes you you re-route the cable for the camera and put the camera on the left side of the handle.

Is there not a Toyota part for this? I'm concerned from the reviews I've read on Amazon indicating some cheap plastic parts and peeling finishes. Besides the fact that the camera ends up being like 6 inches off center.

The black handle has nothing on it to peel..

The camera moving makes no discernible difference on the camera.

My understanding is the new version uses better parts.

I love mine.. but I do intend to upgrade to the power version in the future.

    Hope that helps.
