the diy / aftermarket build VS. "stock" option will always provide the same argument. in soooo many scenarios.
if you're an off-the-street-regular-joe, the "stock" option will work for you. warranty, free oil changes,.. whatever.
if you're an enthusiast, you have the knowledge to build something. warranty,.. NO. but who cares. you spent XXXX less $. and can "take the girl out for dinner" with your savings. yay.

    I paid 36,400.
-$31,300new tacoma off road with the off road tow package.
-$1,700 with NAV (this was expensive, worth it to me stero is awesome. for me anyways)
-$1,400 for T/X pro package (i wanted the wheels and exhaust)
total with out baja package $34,400 (carsdirect price)
-so basicly i paid $2000 more to make it a baja and bring it to $36,400
-I was going to put on the King off road shocks with install and alignment for $2200 not including the bump stops or extented brake lines.
    All under warranty. All stock

I paid $35k OTD for 2012 Black BAJA DC SB w/ JBL & NAV and get free oil changes.

I return from OEF soon and will post pics short after.

I had Ordered a Magnetic Gray AC 6 speed TRD O/R but when I saw the BAJA I had to have it.

I'm done modding after my Z06(Money Pit) so the extra $4300 was worth it and to know its warrantied and to have good resale/trade in value.

When you mod a truck it depreciates faster unless you find a private seller willing to pay $1 for $1.

I called three dealers and made them fight for my business. My dealer claims he is losing $800. I'm also working on the 0% financing with them as that was my deal.

I think most people on here MOD their tacos because they want to make it their own, not for investment purposes. Plus I don't think this is necessarily a true statement.. I bet if a truck is lifted right you could get way more than without it (especially on tacomas). Yeah your not going to get your money back, but then again I didn't pay $2200 for my lift :p

I traded my 09 Sport D/C for the Baja Monday evening. So far it's worth the extra $. Haven't seen another one in the area yet. Time will tell.

Well now I feel dumb lol. For a daily driver the truck works or me. I had a 2005 TRD access cab loved it until it was totaled while in a parking lot. The difference is night and day. This dealer had the truck marked up to 45k. I put 1k down and walked out at 33k and some change just have to know how to play the game. So far I am loving the truck and can't wait to play in the dirt.

I am not a fan of the graphics. I don't like all that fancy crap. I blacked out my emblems and decided to keep the TRD stickers on the bed of my 06 but it took a while for me to decide that. Other than that, I love the Baja. I could trade in my 06 and get it for a decent price but I am keeping mine for now. This is the first Tacoma that has made me even think about trading mine in. Pricey yes, but with only 700 being made, it may be worth it.

I love the Baja trucks and love the fact that the suspension lift is stock.

Im not a big fan of aftermarket stuff so kudos to the stock lovers.

If someone wants to pay for a truck, its thier buisness, not mine.

Congrats Baja owners but I have one gripe - where the hell are all the pics!! You guys keep talking about your new trucks without pictures!!

BTW-- The Raptor fans - leave, sell your tacoma, buy a raptor, and go drink the kool aid in their forums. If you want a Ford so bad =- buy one. How annoying. Your couldn't pay me to drive a Ford, screw that.
