Has anyone on here tried converting the AC controls from say an 06 which is what i have to the matching black color of a newer style (12-15)?? I'm wanting to do it but heard there was some pin or something that you have to get and a lot of people can't find the pin to make it work

Do you have 4x4? If you do then plan on getting the newer selector switch too. And yes it plugs right in with the existing plug.

Revive the thread.... I have a 2013 non entune non jbl non nav touch screen in my 2007 access cab. I had no previous aux cable. What's the pin out for the aux cable for that radio.

Have to thank everyone from this post and all the links. Just finished my install of a 2013 non etune, non jbl,non nav, on my 09. Still a great upgrade from the stock HU. Sounds better and I can call and listen to my phone music on it.
    Thanks again.

Just did the same thing! Best upgrade i've done to truck. Just waiting for two more connectors to finish the backup camera install. Did you do yours? Yours would be easier than mine as the 09 should already have the wiring harness installed right from the tail gate.

Glad this thread got revived. My neighbor has an 11' access cab. I pulled my stock entune plus out of my 15' and was thinking about installing in his 11'. When did they go to that weird antenna connector? Wondering if I need the adapter.

No I didn't hook up my camera yet. Didn't look for the info to do that. What harnesses did you need to buy to get yours to work. Or better yet if you have the link to a thread that would help me. Thanks.

Finally got the 4 pins I needed and finished my install. Got reverse screen on touchscreen as well as a switch I can hit to have the camera come online anytime.

What camera did you use? I bought a cheap camera and never did get it working. I do like having the touch screen and blue tooth but would love to have the backup camera too.

Doing some research. Looking to do a 2013+ Head unit into a 2010. I want this to be an easy plug and play. Truck has the optional sub. My biggest concern in the backup camera. Will the 2010 back up camera work on the 2013 screen with the Ebay wire adapter? Do I need any thing else beside the PT546-00120-CH, PT546-74120-MC, and antenna adapters. Thanks

I ended up getting a handle and camera assembly with wiring harness from an auto wrecker out of a 2013. Just had to make my own harness from tail gate to cab. The touchscreen was a bonus as I did this mod strictly to have a back up camera.

Yes. The back up camera will work on your 2013 touchscreen, you need to feed the wires into the 16 pin connector in the back and source out the reverse signal to get into the 28 pin connector to trigger the camera to come online in reverse. You will need to find the wires that go to your mirror and have them go to your touchscreen... There is lots of good info on here showing you your exact setup. Just gotta be careful if you have already got a jbl head unit you will need to make sure the touchscreen is jbl as well if I understand correctly.

I just finished installing a 2014 unit in my 05 truck. I used a Rostra backup camera 250-8406 and the install was relatively easy. I also replaced the tailgate handle with a used one for the integrated look, so the backup camera looks factory.
