    Hello Everyone,

I posted a previous thread asking for info on my sound system set up, which you guys were great with. I just recently purchased a 2013 Magnetic Gray Tacoma Double Cab TRD Sport Long Bed, and need some opinions on some upgrades:

I plan on doing the tailgate theft protecting with hose clamps very soon. Is this on one side or both? I read to just go to Walmart and grab those.

I don't plan on lifting the truck anytime soon or play with the suspension much. Therefore what kind of wheels should i go with for with the stock tires? Want to black out the tail and headlights and of course tint, so thinking Black wheels.
Also, if i decide to go with bigger tires, what would fit with the stock suspension without rubbing or affecting the truck? As well as good Tires?

I looked for eyelids, but only found 2 on eBay that would fit the 2013. So i'm waiting on different styles. Any good websites you know of to find these?

Any other ideas you guys have would be great. This is my first Tacoma/Truck, and i love it already! All comments are very appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

Depending on what size wheel you get a 265/75/16 or 265/70/17 will fit with no rubbing. A lot of good tire options depending on how aggressive a tire you want.

Hose clamp goes on passenger side. Hit the wheels forum for the other info. Tons of stuff in there.

Yea search around the wheels and tires section to get a good idea. I have Goodyear Duratracs, they're pretty popular here. They're a little more meatier than some other tires of the same size.

Here she is at the dealer...i'm just got the clamps for the Tailgate Theft protection. Has anyone used washers on their truck so they are harder to detach the lines?

Good lookin truck right there! If you go a little bit bigger on the 17" tires, you may need to trim a tad bit. Not sure if there is much difference from my 07 to your 12, but when I upgraded and put 265/70/17's on it rubbed a bit. I had to trim a small piece out of the fender flare, and cut a section out of the fender liner.

Thanks buddy...i want to go bigger tires but i don't wanna have any rubbing you know? but if its like something you did, thats not to bad. im thinking about getting some rims first before tires. will most 05 to 12 aftermarket parts, like avid light bar, fit on my 2013?

Yeah, it's not bad at all. I will snap some pictures tomorrow in daylight to show you what I had to trim to get those to fit.

Also, when looking for light bars you will want to look for a 2012+.

Hey you're a smart one. I like that idea. The ole hose clamp seemed to easy for some to deal with. But the washers would be just enough of a pain the ass they might just leave it alone?

Yea, i was at my buddies shop putting it all together, and heard about this....the hose clamp is a great idea, but all u need is a flat head, so the washer to slow them down a little more...lol
