Wow...very cool thing to do for fans. If I had heard of this earlier I would have made plans to attend the race.

Patience will be a huge factor tomorrow in the race as the Merc's tires begin to wear and the Red Bulls try pass where there is little or no space to do so. This is the only race I'll get up at 4am to watch live. I love this track!

The Open House is a Thursday tradition at the Montreal race , it was cancelled last year because of the douchebag protesters

 

My predictions for tomorrow

Ferrari will 1 stop both it's cars
Vettel and Webber will crash together OR Vettel will crash with one of the Mercedes cars trying to get past

Well as usual , Monaco is a great spectacle but a pretty boring race

Angry at new TV/Internet provider.

Anyone else have an issue with a recording? I recorded the race in it's entirety when it said it was going to start. It seems like NBC Sports messed up the listing as it recorded about the last 10 minutes of the race and the beginning of the replay.

I sat down with time carved out to watch the entire thing and the first thing I see is the podium ... fuck.

 

I have directv. When I saw Nico I said WTF then just fastforward and found start and was all good. Just glad it did really record the whole race.

 

I really hope they do not strip Nico of his win. Its not like they got a 1-2 a minute in front of everyone.

I'm not quite sure, it was something that the Commentators on NBC said during the race.

 

Manufacturers can do 1000KM of testing for Pirelli per year under the rules , the sticking point is that the car must be at least 2 years old and is usually done with the team's reserve driver , in Mercedes' case they used their current car and current 2 drivers and were testing the tire compound that Pirelli intends to bring to the next race in Montreal

Interesting race, as Monaco always is. So far agreeing with everyone:

o race was pretty boring as far as the frontrunners were concerned
o Perez was a Royal DB in this race, went way too far and at least got what he deserved
o Sutil, nice showing

A far as the US coverage, I had strange issues to. I have DirecTV and according to my listings, race was to be live on NBC, pre-race was on NBCSN. I checked the recording about an hour in and it was not the race. Normal Sunday morning BS. Set the DVR to record the non-live version off of NBCSN. Let that spool up awhile and started watching it. Caught the aftershow first, saw who won (crap!!), then got it forwarded to the race start.
