I got the second option mentioned there for 29700 out the door. TTT was ~1500 in NC, so take that away, and they came down to 28200 before TTT.

After trying a few dealerships. So far I have them at $30762 for a 4x4 TRD sport, tow package. I am trying to get closer to $30,000 but the dealers around here don't seem to be motivated to go lower. Should I take $30,762?

or wait for the 2014's?? Dealers claim I won't get much of a deal on them....

Where are you at invoice? You should pay under invoice. I am working a deal for a 2014 4x2 Double Cab with TRD, Tow, and Entune for $27,455. It's $1200 under invoice.

This is bogus. No dealer is to sell a brand new 2014 Tacoma for $1200 under invoice.

I am in Las Vegas. I've been working with the Internet Director. Not sure what a director does vs. manager but Findlay's typical deal is $1000 under invoice. I have the invoice pricing for the packages and went in with my laptop & Excel. I am certain they are still making a profit, albeit small, there's something there.

I have my 2003 Tacoma in there for service, a recurring problem that they (Findlay) has not been able to fix since 2005 (it's blowing ECUs). I don't know if they are working a deal for me to make things whole, the price I have on paper is $27,455.

    $22,845 - base
    $3,027.00 - TRD (OR package)
    $579.00 - tow
    $120.00 - carpeted floor mats & protectors
    $606.00 - Entune
    $52.00 - exhaust tip

    $860.00 - destination
    $554.00 - paperwork
    $13.00 - gasoline
    $28,656.00 - Total

That's the breakdown. I haven't purchased a car lately, could there be something that I am missing, perhaps something they'll spring on me later? As far as I know, there's no more fees other than those disclosed above. I've got them on the dealership invoice.

Picked up a 14 Doublecab TRD Off Road. MSRP $30,200 paid $28,400. Price was same whether I wanted a 13 or 14 (invoice). I really wanted a white truck but ended up with Silver Sky. There was a used 13 TRD sport that was white and had 800 miles on it but it was more than a new one.

Around here it is slim pickings for Tacomas. Not a good selection at all. Toyota needs to up production. I like the looks of the Sport but settled for the Off Road. Hope I don't regret it.

The one I quoted is in production and not on the lot. It's estimated to arrive mid October. I wanted just the SR5 in white and was told that they are a rarity, but the white TRDs were rolling of the line.

This is what I thought. I paid $19500 for my RC 4x4 that had a sticker price of $22500, and every new Toyota was marked at the same $3000 off. They showed me the invoice (and it was around $1200-1500 MORE than what I was paying IIRC) when I started trying to talk them down. I told them I don't need to be a business man to know anybody that sells anything for LESS than they pay for it, won't be in business for long. They explained that they get a rebate (for each vehicle) from Toyota at the end of the year if they sell enough.

This MAY be B.S., I don't know. I DO know they really tried to make the money in other ways with different types of insurance, protection plans, undercoating, paint sealant, chip guards, extended warranty, etc.etc.etc.
My favorite was the "Key loss insurance", for $385 they would replace up to 2 keys a year. They explained SOME keys with the security system cost almost that for just one. They showed me a sheet that had all the prices of their various key prices. The key to my base model was $8, haha, if I lost 2 keys a year for the 20 years I hope to have my Tacoma, it would still only cost me $320 to replace them ALL, needless to say, I passed.

I suspect, a LOT of buyers will go for the extras when they are getting their vehicle for less than invoice, specially if they are financing or leasing.

Which brings me to another point. I was paying cash, and they were VERY underwhelmed by this fact. I suspect this is because they already knew it would be much harder to up sell their vehicle when every thing they were trying to add was THAT amount of cash coming out of my pocket right now, NOT a "cup of coffee a day" over the next 4-5 years. They even went as far as running my credit and doing a spreadsheet showing what I'd pay for all the different financing and leasing options. In the end, I really didn't want to finance anything because we were getting ready to finance a new home and didn't want any monthly payment affecting what we could or couldn't pay for our home.

Just bought a 2013 Grey DBL Cab Sport in PA. Could have gotten a better deal but had to be grey or pyrite mica and 6 sp MT. Only one that I could find fitting this criteria at North Hills Toyota.

19600 out the door, traded in a 2006 Ford 150 XLT 75k miles

Truck came with rubber bed mat, hood protectant, & all weather mats.

Just loving the truck, it's like a big toy :)

Wow I thought I got a great deal, but it seems to be on par with everyone else.

$29,950 for 2013 V6 DCSB 4x4 TRD sport with tow package. Included floor mats and 2 years of free maintenance. Had to drive 1 hour, local dealer wouldn't budge off of 31,000. This was early September. 01Tacoma's deal was the best I've heard of

Just bought my 6th Toyota truck this week. Traded my 2004 DC TRD OR with 156000 miles for a 2013 DC SB TRD Sport with Entune. Sticker was $35000 and I got it for $32900. Not a great deal but I wanted one in white and had to go 3 states away to find it which minimized my selection pool significantly. If i'd been willing to buy a black, or silver or pyrite truck there were a bunch to choose from much closer.

I did get almost $13K for my 04 trade which is half of what I paid for it 10 years ago and I did get the leather heated seats added at dealer cost which saved me some bucks.

The dealership also added their lifetime warranty on the powertrain with a waiver since I'm not local to them which was a plus. No cost for this.

Big props to Toyota of Hopkinsville (KY) as they made the process easy and painless.

2013 TRD Sport DC LB standard options for this model. $30,900 not including fees/taxes. Spent much time haggling (a few weeks). Received $2100 discount off $33k sticker, removed $200 pinstriping, removed $800 in freight. Tried to get to $30,500, he showed me I was already $400 below dealer invoice. I asked if they could throw in undercoating instead and they did, $600. I feel like I did well. Includes standard dealer incentives, oil changes and state inspection for life and other little extras. They also do something called engines for life so that is reassuring. Of course ALL maintenance has to be done there or it is void.

Just bought my first Tacoma and used this post as reference for a good price.
2013, DC, LB, 4x4, TRD Sport, V6, Auto, tow package, wheel and spare tire locks.
MSRP $33,049 and paid $29,637 not including taxes and doc fee. Should be $1,499 below invoice. Had dealer throw in carpet floor mats and door sill protector for free ($195), full tank of gas and 2 years maintenance. At the end of the deal I bought the Toyota Platnium 8yr/75,000 warrantee for $875. I will put less than 8k miles on per year so I felt the 8yr warrantee was worth it. We will see if it was.
Thanks for all who posted their deals!

For those of you in Las Vegas - heads-up - avoid Findlay Toyota like the plague.

My deal on a 4x2 Double Cab, TRD, with Tow, Entune, and exhaust tip, was worked at $1200 under invoice or $27,455 pre-tax. I put a $500 down payment on the truck and my credit card was debited. Only after the charge did I receive an email, not a phone call, an email from my salesperson who gave me some cock-and-bull story and that the owner would not honor my deal. To add insult, he said he would be more than happy work work-up another deal, just not $1200 under invoice. What bullshit.

I spoke with John Bar in person, he too gave me the same line of bullshit and said he cannot go under invoice, not today, and not tomorrow. He would meet me at invoice if I was still interested.

    This reeks of integrity problems.

So now I will be on a campaign to let senior Findlay Auto Group management know about their sleazy tactics and severe integrity problems. I will start with Tyler Corder, Findlay's current CFO. As a corporate manager, Mr. Corder should be interested in this situation.

Fair warning, Findlay Toyota cannot be trusted. I hope others take my circumstance into consideration and purchase their Toyota's elsewhere.
