Hi guys im brand new to the forum and i just purchased a 2013 Toyota Tacoma 5 speed Access Cab last week and was searching around on the forums about fog lights for it since it didn't come with it. I was wondering if there is an easy way to tell if the truck came pre wired with a wiring harness or do i have to order a harness and the relay and switch. If so where would the best place to get all the stuff i need to install those XB fog lights? I was looking into getting some of those Morimoto XB LED Fogs from the retrofit source. Saw this write up http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/lighting/333657-morimoto-xb-led-fogs-12-14-install.html from "cemuscg".

    Thanks in advance!

If it is pre-wired, you should have wires and connectors hanging (but taped up) behind the bumper where the lights go. You would still need the factory switch and most likely the relay (small square one, goes in the relay box behind the battery).

Thanks TenBeers, Ill have to remove those two 10mm screws on the bottom so i can look up in there and see if there is a harness. Also how do you remove those plastic covers inside the truck where the switch goes. Can u pop them out from the front of do you have to get them from back?

I usually go to http://parts.toyotaofdallas.com/ for parts. I got the switch and relay from them, but I didn't need the harness.

Buying all the stuff from the dealer could get expensive, so you may want to consider doing your own wiring, especially if you think you might add some more lighting up front. I don't think you can easily get the wiring anyway -- you may have to pull it from a V6 model in a parts yard, and not sure about the compatibility between years.

I am curious if your truck had cruise installed or not,
I am looking at a 2015 AC however the dealer doesn't have one I can look under the front bumper to see if the wiring is there for fog lights.

I am thinking maybe the addition wiring involved with factory cruise installed would negate Toyota to go ahead and install the fig light wiring also.

I have a cable near the Front driver side head light just forward of the battery. I think it may be the Fog light cable, not sure yet.

It only took me 10 Minutes to install factory cruise control.
For the CC it only cost $67 On Ebay and is very easy to install...
