i got a 2013 tacoma and just bought a backup camera kit and touchscreen radio , when i installed the tailgate handle i noticed that there are wires already going in there , so my question is whether or not i can use those wires ? does anyone know where those wires ending up on the other side ? also what is the best point to tap into the switched 12V for reverse that switches the radio display over when i put the car in reverse ?

OEM set up, existing wires end near the fuse panel. You'll need another harness to connect it to radio screen. I think the 2013's view was thru the mirror, but can be converted, BTDT. You've got a different (aftermarket) kit, no way to know if compatible with OEM. stuff. Top right of page, Search the forum for 2013 back up camera install, lots of stuff to read on there, maybe find answers. I bought a camera off ebay (appx. $40), little 18" wiring harness (with instructions) off ebay (appx. $25), & paid a shade tree mechanic appx. $75 to install. all works great & looks OEM. Good luck.

Camera does indeed route to the mirror in the 2013. If you have the full kit with enough life length, I would totally just take it straight to the head unit instead of trying to reroute the existing camera wiring from the ceiling.
