friend just bought a new 13 Tacoma and we both work at Toyota and when he accelerates there is a nasty shim or vibration from 0mph-low 30s. They have replaced alot of things and no fix yet. Anyone had the same problem?

It only costs $15 for a two day access to Toyota's TIS website. Once you have paid the $15 you can download all the info you need.

Search for driveline vibration. You should get a bunch of results.

This may be true, however I'm going to paramedic school and don't have money just sitting around to constantly check and see if there are any TSBs for 15 dollars each check.

I wish they'd go ahead and apply the leaf tsb to 2013's. Id like that extra leaf added in for a tiny bit of extra height in the rear.

Yep, SR5 and Sport models get 4 leafs. Offroads only get 3...having to do with better articulation offroad supposedly. However when people haul it obviously becomes stupid to only get 3 leafs lol.

My tranny shifts weird sometimes and so far no one else has complained about that at my dealership. Waiting to here more about it.

i got my dcsb V6 4x4 OR about 3 weeks ago and it has been doing it since i drove it off the lot.. i just put a camper shell on it today and it seems to do a little better.. i think i'll call the dealerships around here to see if any of them will do the leaf spring swap out without too much hassle to get the 4 leafs

Mine does the same thing and it drives me nuts. :annoyed:

For me it shifts hard either up or down. Not all the time, but it thumps into gear. Its not smooth between gears. I'm going to start paying more attention and see what gears and speed it does it at

Sometimes it upshifts and downshifts rough as if it is slipping or either the computer is confused on what gear to move to. At first I thought it was just me. A friend confirmed it one day while riding with me.
