I bet once somebody adds a little somethin' somethin' to that 4Runner people will start to change their minds.

I agree completely. Something about it reminds me of the Punisher logo. I bet it will likely look pretty mean with a steel bumper.

I don't think it looks bad like it is, but man if you throw a lift, some armor, and meaty tires on it :headbang:

I think the limited model looks great. The trail edition with a plate bumper would be awesome.

    Just starting...
There are some dramatic styling cues on the front of the new Lexus 250 also. Looks like the designers were having lunch together.

The new Accord and Civic are also doing the angular headlight thing. It's like they all went to a conference together.

Well Im kinda new to the Toyota world although I did own an 83 Toyota PU and a 90 PU but I have been a Jeep Loyalist for the last 20 years. Im proud to say, despite the opinion of many. Im picking up my 2014 4runner trail tomorrow. I finally got sick of my heavily modified 09 4dr wrangler. From what I see the 4runner is the last true SUV. I wheeled my Jeep and it did not hold up. I dont see myself doing as much offroading in the future but I feel out of the box the Trail is the most reliable and capable SUV on the market. Ill let you know how my ugly 4runner does out there. Haha

Saw one on the road today. Man, I have to say that thing is a head turner with that front.

Not the exact pic, but it's the same config.

Congrats!! I am jelly. I believe you will love it, despite many here not finding it aesthetically pleasing. I think it is bad ass. Please post some pics. We are in love with our 2011. I agree Toyota has perfected the offroad SUV with the 5th gen 4 runner trails.

I actually like that. Looks mean in that color, I think they look really good as long as there is no chrome on the grill

As many have said before, I'm sure it will grow on us. I too was not incredibly fond of the 2012 Tacoma. I'm still in love with my 2011, but the newer Tacos have grown on me a little.

I was not a fan of the 5th Gen T4R when they first came out either; but in a world where everything is going the way of rounded crossovers, Toyota decided to go the opposite route. They decided to stick with the body on frame construction that has made the 4Runner successful. To me, the body on the 5th gen was a way of making the statement that it was/is not the same as all the other SUVs that are going the way of the crossover. Because of that, the 5th gen grew on me. I didn't like it at first, but now I do. I hope the same will happen with this new facelifted design. I'm not a fan of it now, but maybe I will be someday.

I wish they hadn't made any changes from the 2012 4Runner. That was the last year they had the 4wd that you actually had to shift into...now its the electronic selector like we have on the Tacomas.

Bingo. I said it looked like a Veloster the first time I saw a picture of it.

Ok, I can dig it. We'll see how long it takes for someone to make one for it.

    HAHAHAHAHA!

Starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel.

That actually looks pretty good in the Nautical Blue.

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
all you need is a sticker that says if you can reed this flip me over. other than that the jeep is in the right position :)
