2014 Entune Issues

I have a 2014 Tacoma with the Entune navigation head unit, without the JBL audio. It's been having a lot of issues lately with freezing and you have to hold down the power button to reset. Also sometimes when you turn on the truck the screen is black and you have to press the home button to turn on. Other times the map will show on half the screen and be blank on the other half. It does all of this intermittently... any ideas on what is going on???

 

there is a software update for the radio. i work at the dealer
its covered under 3/36

 

Is there an easy solution for this issue beyond 3/36?

Mine is acting up and the problem is my radio is a '14, but its retrofitted into an '11 truck.

my dealer is half hour of labor which is bout 60ish

 

I been having issues with Entunes radio freezing up constantly restarting ,etc... annoying to say the least .Called Entunes/Toyota they said bring to the dealer . Went to the dealer sat there for three hours they said they have to order the new soft wear ,that the soft wear they have fixed some bugs but not all . I call Toyota Hq and got a case number . They call me back very nice. But it is ridiculous to have screens freeze like this. It just not Tacoma's either.Most of their radio are doing this. Funny we can updated phone and computers no problem with out going back to Apple or whoever lol. Soon there will be a class action law suit .

 

Been having the same issue. I figured it was from uploading my own startup/screen off display. Now that I know (I will try to not forget) I will get the dealership to update my radio. This is something they will do without cost correct?

 

Dorf sorry I didn't reply sooner . Went to the dealer they did the software updated and a few other things and I must report not a problem with the radio .
