Yep, looks like an extensive facelift, where all the removable panels (fenders, hood, headlights, bedsides) are redesigned, but the cab is kept the same.

Oh damn... that's even fuglier than the 2nd Gen Tundra!

The black bits are all camoflage, some quite thick actually.

^LOL, the Pickuptrucks.Com comments suggest the truck is prettier with the camo in place.

I think Toyota is still keeping to a ten-year design cycle. In theory, Ford sells five times as many trucks per year, so it can afford to make design updates five times as often.

It's a big ugly looking box. The tires and wheels don't look proportional for how big these trucks are either.

They're taking their styling cues from GM.

Somebody PLEASE take the design staff's box of Legos away.

I liked the '03 Gen 4-runner, can't stand the new one.
I just don't care for the high waistline except on, like the FJ... the style accommodates it well.

^I think the FJ is ugly, actually, but it isn't a high-volume model (only about 10k sold per year).

Toyota usually doesn't screw up too badly on market research. No sins on the caliber of the Pontiac Aztek or Nissan Juke at least.

With the 2013 Tacoma =, they prolly just changed the headlights, grill, maybe a little bumper work and call it good. A whole new truck in their eyes!

It would be ironic if this Photoshop job turned out to be accurate. Only discrepancy are the mirrors. Because they are covered up in the spy photo, we can safely assume they've changed, maybe with turn signals added.

That's a lot better than what's out there now.

Its like the when the Camry was refreshed recently and they're calling it all new.Its the same car with new details.Where are the days when new cars didn't resemble their predecessor.

The Camry and Tacoma are both sales leaders in their respective classes, so Toyota can afford to be conservative. The Tundra is not.

I'm looking forward to seeing what the facelift looks like. I hope they do the front end more like the tacos making them more aggressive looking and incorporating the news toyota grill shape. My buddy has a 09 Silverado that's had power train problems it's whole life, and I've been pushing him towards toyota (he's a big Chevy fan) so I'm hoping the new look is better then the old ones. I also would really like to see a whole new dash with new gauges, and a stiffer frame.

I like the long redesign cycle times. I still think my 05 is a fresh look.
