I would also like to hear. I looked at the instruction sheet and it looks like it doesn't bolt in like the OEM module. It would appear you need to drill a hole for it in the tailgate handle. That seems to be doable, but I would want to make certain the connector plugs right into the harness on the truck.
I is certainly the most affordable option. Dealer price is nuts.

I can't help you out TOO much, but I can say that looks just like that camera on my '15, so it can't be too bad.

Thanks. They say it will go in 14 but not a 15. Idk if the connectors changed but that's what I'm gathering.

If I could get a definitive answer I'd appreciate it. I'm getting a topper in a week or so and think it would be beneficial to have one. Probably the only thing I didn't like about my 15, other than 2 speed wipers, but I can live with that.

Tomorrow after work (if it's not raining) I'll take some pics of the wiring for mine and send them your way, and hopefully that'll help.

So after checking those sights and searching further, I've determined my tacoma is prewired. Also the 14 & 15 uses a 6 lead connection vs earlier 4 lead connections. Strange thing is all photos for all sights show a 4 lead, so I may have to gamble with crutchfield, just because I know return would be easier.

There is a seller on eBay that posts on here that was selling OEM, but it sounds like he sold out and won't get anymore.

So after further investigation I found the connector in front of the bumper is a 4 lead and that's where the aftermarket camera would connect. That's why all the aftermarket cameras have 4 lead connectors and their included wire will run through the tailgate. The 4 or 6 lead would only matter with oem cameras. So I think I'm ordering the crutchfield. I'll post the results.

Sounds like you've got it figured out. I hope it all works out for you. Worst case, you just return it.

Thanks again. And you're correct, all I have loose is time.

I just purchased a camera from him, he revived some new stock. It works well, but is a tad grainy. I can't say if it is OEM but it fit the hole perfectly. Install was plug and play. I also purchased gentex mirror from ebay. Advertised for Tundra but fit perfectly. Less then 450 for both and 10 min install if truck is prewired ( I believe 09 on is all prewired). Hardest part was pulling the plug from the headliner.....that was some amazing tape.
