Didn't do much this 4th. Rode the bike got some boba. Saw my buddy's new to him bike took some pics helped the same buddy get his old scrambler to his brothers place. Got a free camper shell from his brothers crusty first gen. It fits but is a tad narrow towards the cab and needs some work but free is free so I'll see what I can do or I'll junk it.

 

Back to grandpa shell mode!

 

Another Sunday in the books for riding! Tried a few new places to eat and get boba and both sucked... Prices were to high and food and boba was sub par... Other that a good day thou! Went to blip to look at some cool bikes! Went and got tbh a crappy a pricey breakfast... Went and tried tbh a cheap boba that was just meh? Found some funny candy in a Asian market! Got rained on! And hit 6k miles finally on the bike! About 1700-1800 miles within a month and a half idk if that's a lot of miles or not but it feels like it! Also found some hotwheeeeels finally lol

god i love those bikes! ive seen some show up on marketplace but man they are beat to hell now!

 

Took a lot of time, and quite a roadtrip to find that one.
It's now in Nebraska.

They usually get raced or ragged to hell.

 

i can imagine they are sick bikes and harder to find these days it seems.

ya thats what ive seen on them most of the time is they get sent to the track and get thrashed hard then sold for honestly a lot...

 

Still trying to figure out if I enjoy doing this shit or hate my self haha.

The motor is back out and the front end is stripped got more work to do before swapping it all into the new chassis sadly ugh!

was an awesome bike but not what im wanting anymore so off she goes to live a new life as basically a dirtbike lol.

 

So I sold my klx and think I'm going to go down and take a look at it and possibly buy it.

 

behind on a few photos and will have to update later today when i have time but for now! a new addition to the garage!

here we have my brand new 2023 klx300r! this bike got put in a off site storage location and got forgotten about so it sat for awhile so i got a great deal on a brand new bike with the better suspension!

also thanks to @Sociopenguin for showing me the link and telling me about brent. i had a great experience at head motor and would be back if i ever need another bike!

atm dont have many plans for it minus a few things.

-some type of graphics kit
-hand guards
-headlight/enduro kit
-skid plate

might add more further on like exhaust and tune but for now its fine and dont really need to go overkill yet lol.


for graphics im kinda torn tbh! ive always loved the retro 90s graphics but i also like the idea of a modern kit!
first 3 are retro kits from skda. i had the purple one on my last klx and it was great but my last experience with skda and the crappy kit i got was honestly annoying... my first green kit was awesome just the yellow kit sucked...


after skda we have omx graphics with a modern kawasaki racing teams graphics which i really like tbh.

wont change much to it minus the cosmic glitter look and for the number plate -1 in blue for a old red vs blue reference.
lastly is a brand ive never heard of? senge graphics with another retro graphics kit.

 

Like I said before, I just went with new plastics and had a sticker party on my KX. It's clean and looks good yet simple.

i was thinking about that tbh. they have a tan set of plastics for the klx300r and part of me wants to swap to that and do something a bit different.
i do like how your bike came out thou it looks good!

yes both were a klx but my old one was truly a drz400s a very heavy dual sport that was dated af. the klx300r is modern light and really nice.
