If you do any 4 wheeling at all, under the seat is probably not the best spot. If you ever get water in the doors, that would be an expensive mistake. Back wall of the cab is a better option.

I didn't drill all the way to metal, it's just screwed into the carpet so it doesn't slide around.

I know some of the better install shops will actually glue a thin piece of wood to the floorpan under the carpet and screw into that. No need to drill through the cab for installing amps, etc.

@1sttruckguy78 and @Mr Marv. So installed tweeters with speaker wires not plugged into anything except the crossover located inside kick panel. I'm getting a constant humming noise thru tweeter though nothing else hooked up?? Do you think I have to move crossovers??

Do you have them connected to your amp already? How high to you have everything set and how loud is the head units volume up when you are hearing the hissing? Not uncommon to get that when. You're not playing any music through an amplified system because there is still power going to the speakers even when there isn't any music playing. Mine has a low hiss too if I have the deck on and no music playing.

I don't think you need to move the crossovers, I highly doubt there is anything there that will give you feedback.

No the crazy thing is no amp; no LOC; speed wire connected to head unit but other end is loose also since I have not hooked up to LOC!?? Marv is sending out sub box/amp rack soon.

The only thing I can think of is the other electrical wiring that is behind the kick panel. It is pretty crowded with stuff back there but still REALLY surprised I got anything with it not connected to any power.

Move the crossover out of there and lay it on the floor and see if the sound is still there

Will do. Getting into kick panel soon.

As of now I can isolate the noise when my headlights are turned ON. when I switch it off it disappears.

That's weird. Is it both sides or just one?

Seems like it has to be some EMI from the current in the harness

Definitely coming from crossover behind driver side kick panel. Passenger side quiet but there is less wiring there

I have my drivers side crossover way above the wiring harness up under the dashboard. Maybe truck to move it up there?

Found a little spot without having to even zip tie. Wires were a pain to zip tie under dash - hate working upside down! Pooped. No more hissing!!

I actually have my passenger side crossover here but through the other side. I'm glad you figured it out man. 20160910_210043.jpg

Just a pic of rear door thru speaker hole. You can see gray Ensolite layer (8"x8") behind speaker hole only. Rest of outer door has standard sound deadener. This appears to have similar effect as Fastring. image.jpgimage.jpg Not sure if slits I made on foam tape affects effectiveness but made it easier to shape into a circle.

Sorry for flooding your thread with my issues Jeremy but I'm hoping people can learn thru my mistakes...

Decided to give a quick wash after feeling some sense of accomplishment this morning. I was surprised by how much moisture gets inside the door. image.jpg
This is from front driver side. I already installed speakers in the back. Is this a concern at all?? I'm assuming speakers are designed to handle this moisture? Is it worthwhile/ necessary to put a dab of silicone at speaker wire-speaker terminal connection? @Mr Marv any input?

It's totally alright. I wonder if you are getting more water in the window from the outside because there isn't anything putting pressure on the inside due to not having the door assembled.

I guess that's possible but since it's not really an "air tight" system my belief is that this happens regularly.

When I disassembled one door couple weeks ago ( right after it had rained) I noticed some moisture on the inside of the OEM clear plastic
