I have a good buddy that installed a kicker hideaway behind his rearoom passenger seat. he made a slick little mounting bracket that fit right in the pocket. @BawlzTaco do you have a pick of your sub?

Well I'm afraid you can't get away from dumb drivers. you should see it when there is a small drizzle of rain here in the Phoenix metro area, you would think nobody had ever seen rain in their lives.

Here you go, Jeremy! Still one of the bigger improvements aside from replacing the OE paper crap "tweeters"....

Such a clean install man. Still impresses me even though I've seen it before.

Looks great! I have a feeling I'll probably go ahead and install mine as well. I was hoping to preserve all the storage behind the seats, but I do miss the extra punch from my hideaway.

You don't lose a ton of storage considering the improvement in sound. Worthwhile trade off. I did the .75" MDF Mounting tray to reduce resonance, add a solid mounting plane, and keep the rattles down. It worked.

For those that have subs behind the seats - are you guys running your subs with the plastic pieces on the back of the seats or did you remove them? I honestly cannot tell much of a difference, but I was curious to see what others were doing.

I don't need to remove mine for space, but just curious on if it makes a difference with sound

I had to remove mine because of room. I don't think it would make too big of a difference with or without the plastic though.

ok I need help here with AudioControl LC7 questions (if anyone here is using it in their system). I'll see if I can best explain my scenario here. I just built a new box, added new subs and a new amp and to me they were not sounded that great nor getting as loud as I felt they should be capable of doing so this evening I spent over an hour playing with it all and this is what I found.

I have the metra harnesses off my oem head unit connected to a speedwire cable. I (originally) had the white & grey wire going into main input on the LC7 and the green & purple wires going to the channel 2 input on the LC7. I then had the main output & channel 2 rca's going to my 4 channel and channel 3 rca's going to my sub amp. I have all the dials at 12 o'clock. This configuration did not sound good to me at all

What I did next is unplugged all the rca's and then plugged the rca's that went to sub amp into Channel 2 output and got the same results - the subs did not sound good. I then took those same rca's and plugged them into the main output and that is when I the subs shined. They sound great, they are loud and everything I want. So I thought here what I would do is keep the sub amp on the main output and then I used a Y adapter on Channel 2 output to go to the 4 channel (yes I know I lose fade controls). Everything sounded great, but then I noticed that the voice navigation from the head unit was no longer audible which I found real strange. To confirm my findings I put the 4 channel rca's back to the Main output and the voice navigation was audible again.

So what I did to get me going for now until I can figure it out is that I have 2 Y adapters coming out the Main output of the LC7 - 1 Y adapter goes to the 4 channel amp & the other goes to the sub amp and currently I have voice navigation from my head unit, all doors and subs sound great. Obviously I didn't want to spend all this money on the LC7 just to use 1 output

Anyone have any ideas why the subs sound like crap if I use the Channel 2 or 3 outputs? One thing I learned through this is that the voice navigation from the head unit only comes out the front speaker wires

I am baffled to all this and it very well could be a bad LC7, but I can't return it now since it's been past 30 days with Amazon.

    Thanks everyone

I don't have an lc7i but I had the exact same problem. I had at least one pole crossed on the input side of the signal processor. I did the whole thing with Y splitters and everything. once I got all the positives and negatives in the right place the system sounded perfect.

That hasn't crossed my mind yet. So you're saying you had the grey, white, green or purple wires crossed somehow at the processor?

yes exactly. Positive and negative poles are crossed on one or more of the inputs. At least that was what my issue was and the symptoms were exactly the same as yours.

Cool thanks. I will take the time to remove the head unit to see how I have it wired back there and mimic it at the LC7 & see if that makes a difference

Just make sure the wires from the speed wire are connected at the harness correctly and they are hooked up at the lc7i correctly. here's the wire colors, I'm sure you know this already but I figured it wouldn't hurt. just remember that the wires with the black lines on them are negative.

I am using the lc7 and have no issues with the loudness of the sub. I would check your connections as mentioned.

Just installed an ARC XDi 850.5 amplifier and an Audio Control DQ-61 Signal processor
driving Image Dynamics CTX 69's up front, CTX65's in the back and an ARC 8D4 sub.
Install was painless, now if I can just get the EQ settings to my liking.

Setup is in an Access Cab with jump seats removed and a platform where they were.
I am using two 3" 7/16x20 bolts in the jump seat seat-belt anchor holes to anchor the
sub. Both the amp and DQ-61 are under the passenger seat and anchored to the carpet
using industrial velcro. Built a harness using two lengths of speedwire, one from the HU
to the DW-61 and the other from the amp to the OEM harness I disconnected from the HU.
Oh, I removed the passenger seat and turned the seat brace 90 degrees to the rear for
    additional clearance.
