Just asked Weathertech when the liners for the 2016s would be available. My boot heels destroy factory floormats.

Not according to Sweers. Haven't heard from Weathertech, or whether someone successfully dropped the 2015 mats into a 2016.

I've used heavy duty floor mats from Wallys in my 2005. They are still working great 10 years later.

    Why?
Most wait times should be 6-8 weeks. That is a beyond abnormal wait time.

I'm not minding the wait if the page that is released is polished and flawless.

On the other hand, if it comes out crummy. I'll be pretty pissed. I hope Toyota.com reads this post.

I have a ticket submitted to my Toyota Fleet Rep to see why, if its just the build I have done or if I can get a HOT put on the order to get it completed sooner.

I think the Delivery window is just there as a safety net. We had a RAV-4 on order that had a 9/21-9/25 delivery window and when I just looked on our toyota fleet management site (just got it setup today) it is showing the vehicle was delivered on 7-20. Going to have some words with the dealer about this order.

Many times those build and price webpages double as a source to current inventory of dealers in your area. Since most people don't have inventory in their area, I can see them holding out a little while longer to drop the new model on the website.

Great point - Gulf States lives by that. They're currently trying to sell people in Austin the last remaining 2015s in Houston, Dallas, and Louisiana.

That's exactly what the Build A Tacoma webpage is for, and nothing else. You can't build anything that isn't on a dealer lot in your region, or on it's way to a dealer lot.

Well, where's the fun in that? At least the Canyon/Colorado build pages let you configure a truck you're pretty sure they'll never build for you.

I dunno.. I didn't know it was effectively useless until I tried building an obviously available configuration back in the day (DCLB V6 SR5 4x4) and it said I couldn't choose DCLB.

Well, fuck. Knocked on Toyota's door and they spilled the beans that it's really only for funneling potential buyers into dealer show rooms and has no real connection to what's able to be built, only what's available already built. Boo.

I tried building that exact config today, and it was a no go. It however, was available to configure yesterday. My local dealer has very few 2015s left. But I am in Socal, so everything moves quick
