Where is the e-locker located on a 2016 model?

Background: my axle housing is bent so I think it'd be easier to just swap out the whole axle assembly rather than swap over the housing, axles, hubs etc. I have sourced a near replacement but it does not have an electronic locking diff. I'm wondering if there's something specific to the housing that will prevent me from using this new housing and bolting my current third member onto it. If the electronic lock is contained within the third member I would think they would bolt up.

Curious to see what you find out. Third gens with e-lockers and manual transmissions come with the new 8.75" rear end. I have no idea if third member would fit the 8" housing or if it uses different size/spline axle shafts.

Haven't found anything definitive, located an e-locker rear end 5 hrs away :( so I'll probably play it safe and go with that one.
