im getting a new cat back system to try to get a few more horsies and was wondering if it's worth trying to sell my old one with only 8k miles on it? Is there a market for these used parts and how much should I ask for it on Craigslist or Facebook market place?

It's not really going to do much of anything for performance. It will make more noise. Call some parts yards nearby they might give you a hundred bucks for OEM exhaust. I would leave it alone personally. There are better things to spend money on like maybe try a pedal commander if you want the truck to feel peppier. Some say it helps with the annoying shifting.

I've just got one for $20. Figure cutting it up and making a dual exhaust if i have time. If it doesn't work it's $20 that I didn't spend on weed...meh

I'm guessing you'll suffer through an aftermarket exhaust for 4 months. This motor/trans sucks with an exhaust and the highway mid throttle / load drone will drive you apeshit.
