    Hi guys,

Just put a set of hids in my stock projectors in my 2016 and there is a "V" shape empty spot in the center of the road. Is this normal, my guess it's for the drivers in front of you?

I think they need aimed, especially lefty. That doesn't look right.

    Are they adjustable?

It's hard to tell without seeing the exact center point of the hood but like someone else said, it appears the left one needs adjustment. Maybe both.

I'd say find an empty road and line up the truck dead center on the middle line to verify.

    This thread may help: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/headlights-adjustment.343637/

Some say HIDs can't be adjusted in a stock housing, but they point out the locations if you'd like to try.

because I am too cool to follow the law and really, laws and photometrics don't apply to me, Captain KoolManDude.."

    NO

first off it is wrong. dead stop.

it is illegal and contrary to FMVSS regulations.

yes it would be extremely rare to actually get in trouble, have someone really bent on busting
you to prove you did something not road worthy...who is gonna bust you ??? only someone crazy...

but wrong is wrong, dude. accept it. you have no viable argument.

do your crap with your lights, who cares.

I am on the side of saying 'try fitting in with the rest of society
and don't be driving with messed up headlights' there are laws and regulations which govern lighting systems on road vehicles ya know

lights are a critical life safety system

you take all the careful research and engineering and toss it out the window with your 'mods'

Definitely better than a reflector housing, but I have read halogen projectors are not one in the same as those for HIDs. Might be the root of your alignment issue.

How do the 3rd gen headlights compare to 2nd gen halogen reflectors? Just curious.
