That's one of the huge reasons I am trying to get my wife on board to looking into the 3rd gen Tacomas.

Projector housings means better ability for an HID bulb.

That is not designed for HID. It's not like doing a true Retrofit. Just because you have projector housing does not mean it is set up for HID's. The cut off lines are designed for Halogens not HID. Sorry for the let down.

I have absolutely no problems with running HID's in my factory projectors and never get high beamed once they are adjusted properly!

The only difference between H11 and H11B is the connector. Bulb is the same, socket is the same. H11B is used in vehicles where the entire bulb sits inside the housing. While H11 usually sticks outside the housing

OP, First I would make sure that the bulb itself is seated correctly. I've seen so many times the little rubber washer get caught on something and the bulb will be cross threaded in the socket. Next, may I ask where you obtained the bulbs? A lot of cheap kits from ebay (Zentec is preatty bad with this) will not be direct OEM specs. So the light reflects inside the Projector in a weird way and causes "black outs"

This was the solution. The standard H11 HID bulb has a different grounding wire location on the bulb than the H11B. So i ordered a set of H11B Morimotos and the "V" is gone!
