Have you happened to hear the Flowmaster super 44 muffler itself to compare it to yours?

Great video. I already feel 100% better about installing mine. Thanks for posting, the system sounds perfect. Just curious...what are you doing with the stock setup? Selling it on eBay or keeping it in the garage?

I have not heard one in person, but a few people have posted videos of some flowmasters. I like the Delta Flow the best from the clips.

Yup, it's actually a lot louder than I thought it would be. In the cab it is louder than the exhaust I had on my 5.7L Tundra surprisingly enough. It was dual in dual out though. Not bad at cruise though, unless it's dropping into 4th, then it's a bit loud. But that's usually only with high wind or slight inclines on the highway at high speeds. It retains that stock sound though but much deeper and not raspy at higher RPM like the flow masters seem to get.

    \

Yup, the full cat-back system, part #19291. Not just a muffler swap.

I'm actually keeping it in the garage for now, might shove it in the attic. Just in case I don't like it. I'm going to give it a few weeks and see how I like it or if it's annoying. So far it's just fun, but I haven't gone on any road trips just yet or over 70 MPH. I'll hit up the turnpike at some point and going 80 MPH the poor Tacoma doesn't ever hit 6th gear so it may be on the annoying side on 5+ hour long trips. We shall see.

Jealous of all you guys who didn't wait long. I have mine coming in tmrw and should have some test clips shortly thereafter. I definitely want to know what it sounds like inside the truck, but with the windows down.

It sounds very nice. I had them all down on my way back from church today. Guess I could pull a clip off my dash cam but it picks up more engine noise due to it being on the windshield. You can tell its there just cruising at 40 with them down.

It'll be there soon enough :)

After you guys get some more seat time, can you post feedback on cabin drone (windows up) and throttle feedback (power gain, mid range gain or loss, etc).

I did a 110mph pull on a 'closed road' today. It sounds pretty throaty and deep for me, not annoying like some mufflers I've heard. There is a slight drone when the truck is around the 2k mark on a downshift but cruising speeds it is quiet like a stock muffler. I'm sure after some break in time it will change but for now I really like the new setup.

I have about 1000 miles on mine at this point. The small amount of drone that is there subsides as you put miles on it. Also, when I first put it on and the truck would downshift on the freeway, at 2800-3200k rpms it was really loud in the cab. But now it's much better.

As far as throttle response goes, I would say I noticed a small gain down low. Most of my driving is done in the 0-40mph range and in that range I noticed a small difference. Not life changing by any means, but the butt Dino notices.

Thanks for the input. You were close to the range of when the limiter would kick in.

Thanks. That's pretty much what I was looking for was feedback using the butt dyno meter.

    Tow package. Led bed lights.
I have FM40 with dual chrome tips (splits to both sides) and resonator chamber. Very happy with setup. Looks so sick from behind. Minimal drone. But I could potentially eliminate 2k drone with properly measured resonator chamber.....won't do that for a while, if ever. She growls like she shouldd

My tripod + mount came in today and I'm really wanting to get some exterior drive by shots and takeoffs, but I live in Kansas and it's just not happening. Hitting 35 MPH+ winds with storms this evening and continued wind though the week. Might have a chance Friday if I'm lucky. The sound is starting to grow on me as I go on though, very happy with it!
