Here's a shot of a K&N test car at Gresham featuring a valence rather than the splitter. IMO, the splitter has been a terrible experiment.

Jeff Gordon writing an autobiography. He is reportedly going to tell everything. What everything is I don't know except for some stuff about the first marriage and how he was raised and kind of forced into racing about his step dad.

Lots of bitter berries here. Everything worked out. Jeff became JEFF and Bill Davis went Cup racing, grabbing a couple wins and a Daytona victory:

Of all those Jeff Gordon videos, I didn't see one where he was a dick to a little kid and then the rest of his fans at Atlanta Motor speedway... Will it be included?

What's going on with MWR going to court over a tire changer? I wonder if he'll commentate today.

"Some people are good most of the time and some people are bad most of the time, but MOST people are good AND bad ALL the time." -Lee Hazlewood

We've all been dicks at some time or another. I'm not going to hold Jeff or anyone else to a higher standard than I hold myself because of his celebrity.

    Fixing the Xfinity Problem

Problem: Cups guys in Xfinity field

The Good: Xfinity guys get track time with the Cup guys, theoretically preparing them for the big time. Cup guys get R&D and pitting practice for Sunday.

The Bad: Cup guys tend to stomp the field, smaller teams get smaller % of race purse and no much-needed winners bonus.

The Ugly: Fans piss & moan because Cup guys always win, but won’t show up unless big names are on the grid.

Solution #1: Regardless of their current track position, all Cup drivers pull into the garage with ten laps remaining in the event.

Result: Younger drivers get track time with the stars, Cup guys get R&D for Sunday, younger guys finish higher, and get more purse money, Cup guys can dominate but don’t win, fans get to see the big names on track AND younger guys win the race.

Solution #2: Hold Cup guys an extra 3-5 seconds on pit road. Make them work harder for position on track without mechanically altering their cars. I mean hey, they’re Cup guys, they can handle the pressure, right? “Greatest drivers in the world,” Says DW.

    Result: Same as above.

Yeag, but we know Eric Jones is ready for the cup based off his Xfinity performances against cup guys... And if money is the issue, with cup guys winning it all, maybe they only get half the prize and the rest of the prize go to the Xfinity guys' prizes...

That race was a blast to watch! Only thing it didn't have was a first time winner. One of the best races so far this year.

Yes it was, I'm sure kenseth was nervous with two drivers behind him hunting their first cup win. Even more amazing is Keselowski finishing 6th after destroying his and Dillon's car because the 3 decided he should run a car length off the wall down the straights under speed, dumb. I was watching lap times those last 20 laps, Kes was the fastest on the track, was his race to win if wasn't for that incident. Def. give it a watch if you get a chance.

I was at band practice and casually refreshing the NASCAR running order page on my phone. I was impressed to see so many different leaders.

I was pulling for him not to have bad luck so he could get a W finally. No luck at all for him.

I saw NASCAR has confirmed there will be a new low downforce package for the all star race, changes haven't been released yet, I assume they will be tomorrow.

I'm pretty sure it was karma, as JJ said that he didn't feel the need for a safer barrier on the front stretch after others made a big deal about it on Friday. Pretty sure that's why he hit it and changed the course of the race.
