Kyle Busch also drove a lot of races with the same design as labontes car, just white black and green instead of green reddish orange and black. This specific car he is driving is the the dale Jarrett tribute version.

Point is, the sponsor selects the paint scheme, not the team or the driver.

put Ty Dillon in the 10 with his own sponsors... The car will be more likely to win

I wonder if next year, the black #3 will come back...

I thought I read somewhere RCR was thinking of doing the silver 3 for the all star race, don't know if that ever came to fruition or not.

Rain delayed All-Star Showdown begins in twenty minutes. Green track. New aero package. New tire. Cars setup for night racing. Very little on-track time. Who do you have?

I'm thinking a Chase Elliott or Ryan Blaney as the favorites with Austin Dillon as the Sleeper and Kyle Larson as the Darkhorse favorite.

I voted Blaney a couple times. Fan vote will probably be Elliott or Patrick.

Gosh who votes for Danica to be in the all star race? I want to see good racing. Blaney should've been in it. That BS call by the official who wasn't even paying attention to the restart cost him an entry.

Should be interesting tonight. I look for Edwards, Busch, and Johnson to be the cars to beat based on their 1.5 mile performances this year.

I'd like to see NASCAR/Sprint reveal the actual vote counts. That was some good racing. I think we'd see more of that type of stuff if the current crop of top stars would hurry up and retire. I hope the new young crop isn't a lost generation of hot talent because I'd love to see them racing for wins and putting on a good show week in and week out. I've seen the 48, 4, 18, 11 win enough times.

To expound on the above tangent^ harvick just signed a 4-5 year deal, Johnson is in a lifetime contract. That's just crazy. In the post-privateer era, guys signed 1-2 year contracts and played music a chairs like crazy in the off-season. I enjoyed that. Shuffling the deck with regularity was good.

But. Nowadays the good equipment seems to cycle through teams... used to be Hendrick, now its. Gibbs

It's not the equipment that's better per sè, it's what the engineers in the Gibbs camp have figured out to push the rules with these cars and the other teams haven't figured it out yet, give it time, then you'll see Hendrick/SHR and Penske be as consistent as Gibbs is now. Last year Penske had it initially, then other teams figured out what they were doing and it all leveled out toward the end of summer.

No one votes Danica in. They put her in for the attention. Unless nascar has a huge woman following, I don't think there are enough people to actually vote her in. Ratings vote her in. Everyone wants to know when she'll crash. People have office pools gambling on which lap she'll cause a wreck.

This last 13 lap segment is gonna be wild. Goodyear brought a tire with more fall off so predicting the winner for this race is gonna be near impossible. Will be a mix of average drivers and great drivers 1-10. I imagine some shoving and pushing will be utilized by the guys restarting 11-22 in the last segment.

Oh and the winner of the all star race gets to be on the cover of the new NASCAR game, that's the real incentive, not that chump change of a million dollars.
