I have quite a few 1:24 scale. Mostly tony, dale and dale jr.

 

Yeah, Walmart only sales 1:64 cars around here... I only buuy a 1:24 if I am meeting the driver usually

 

I used to get them off of qvc.

 

My dad has a bunch of those for race fans only cars

 

So, now that Smoke went and broke his lower back, who do you think will be in the #14 for Daytona and onward?

Anyone else notice that Nascar has made an interesting change in that there will no longer be 43 cars, but 40 from now on to start the race? Puts more pressure on qualifying now for sure.

 

To me that is screwing the little guy.

It's total bullshit. This combined with the new charter system is crap. There will be 40+ teams showing up each week to qualify for four spots. This is just a ploy by the big teams to get a bigger piece of the pie and squeeze the little guys out. Notice how Rob Kauffman, who devised this scheme has TWO charters and no cars on the track (MWR closed), but the longest running team in NASCAR, (66 years) Wood Brothers Racing, was snubbed. Ryan Blaney has to race his way into every single race this season. He has to be perfect in his twin 125 qualifier to have a shot at even making Daytona. It sucks.

You doing Atlanta? I got my Saturday ticket, $48, then my dad tells me he has 4 suite passes. GSP is "renting" his '64 Galaxy 500 Mayberry car for a display at the track. Some tie in with the state sponsoring the race.

So it looks like we'll be sticking around for Sunday too.

Which section you camping? We used to set up outside the Elliott grandstand.

 

they did away with camping across the street to expand the airport so my buddy and me got two site in the family campgrounds... and ill be arriving at midnight that thursday, and my truck is too loud to get in the campsite at night lol...
