In case you missed it, he didn't spin tires or check up. Was shifting like normal, truex just derailed him.

Yea seemed like Truex was a little too aggressive on that restart knowing Dillon didn't have fresh tires, caused a mess. This is gonna be a fun next two races to watch, especially with dega in the mix.

CALLED IT. Johnson wins, Kahne pulls third. Check out Danica finishing 11th (with Hendrick equipment), ahead of Edwards and Truex!

I can't figure out who you root for (besides Shrub). You've spoken highly of Elliott, Truex, and Austin Dillon, but also been critical of their on-track performance. I am tempted to go to Talladega but finances are TIGHT right now. OH, one other thing, I know you've shown some interest in local/regional racing. I stumbled onto something amazing in Danielsville yesterday afternoon. You can get into some intense, weekly racing for around $3,000. I'll post pics & stuff soon.

How do you feel about hanging it sideways about 1" from the wet clay track surface at 50mph? Look into Checkered Flag Kartway aka "Shiloh." They race every Saturday. Feature winners get $400. They run several classes for kids (based on age), and adults (based on weight). Many classes run Honda Clone engines, both stock & modified. They are the Harbor Freight Predator 6.5hp engines you can grab for $100 each. There are lots of cool mods to do to them to up HP and class. Kids run varying restrictor plates based on their ages. Some folks have rigs that rival late model teams. These folks were pulling in with crew cab Rams pulling 20' trailers. They'd pop up an open tent, set up a generator for air tools and power and roll out multiple karts. BIG money in some of these teams, but there were other guys rolling in with used karts in the back of their trucks. Everybody was having a good time.

You'd need a kart stand to get it to the starting gate, tools, fuel & lubes, spare tires, spare gears, gloves, approved helmet, neck brace and leather jacket, $20-40 entry fee. If you have a welder and some square tube, you can make your own kart stand.

Small engine stuff. Some dudes had air tools, which seems kind of overkill.

Sorry folks, got sideways yesterday and wasn't able
Had to step away yesterday - my point was even though he didn't spin the tires or miss a shift he still was slow on the restart, hence Truex got into him. Hard to ask a chaser to check up and give someone a break in that situation. I'm really not allbtjatvfond of Truex but I can't cast all the blame on him in that scenario.
