2016 OVTune Tacoma 3.5L Manual Transmission / Engine ECU Reflash

yes I am interested as well. Please provide any feedback so that if needed it can be further enhanced. I do plan to put another MT on the dyno.
These settings work very well on the AT to get more power, however some slight tweaking to the throttle was necessary to make it more acceptable for the MT.

Identification worked fine.
checksum corrected, passed security checks.
"Completed Unsuccessfully" three times. that was with 04B12-1.03B_91_Octane.bin

EDIT:
redownloaded the .bin file, restarted pcmflash and reconnected to truck. all looks correct like above but same thing, fourth time Completed Unsuccessfully

 

Try without identifying first, just truck on select file, write

 

i will wait till Tuesday as the dealer called with trade in offer ,will go for 2018 mt

EDIT: stopped, disconnected everything, started over, same: Unsuccessful

 

Truck completely off, retry.

Try to flash a stock file?

 

I ran it successfully, identified successfully and then wrote the new tune! Everything went fine but I have not had a chance to drive the truck yet. Software said everything went fine though so everything should be good

 

Mine loaded fine. Test driving shortly.

 

i've got last version of 1.03 on here now. do you need me to flash stock? unfortunately i'll have to do it later.

this is literally the first problem i've had since installing alpha. weird.

 

Flash went great! Finishing up my bumper install then to the open road!

 

Flashed and ready to roll. Will report back in an hour or two.

Huge fan of the flash manager btw. Made this much quicker, easier and will hopefully eliminate a lot of peoples complaints

Successful flash of 87 octane tune, AS MAT RECOMMENDED. Have a quarter tank of 93 left, but will fill up with 87 and see how things go.

Have to head out in a few minutes, will report back early this evening.

 

So I was going to wait a while before posting my thoughts but here’s my comprehensive review after 17 miles - WOW

 

@OVTune Same problems as I had before,PCM flash will not open on my laptop,antivirus and addblockers are disabled. Previously it took at least a dozen tries to get it to open then it finally did and flashed the tune.

ETA still trying to get it open,wondering if deleting everything and starting over might be the key. I still have all the codes and answer files from the first install will they work with a fresh install?
