Alright guys, I've now got 36 miles of driving on 1.03C and I'm going to echo what @Shellshock said. The update definitely didnt take away any of the power that Mat provided with 1.03B, which was a concern with some people as they stated, probably until blue in the face, that this would be detune for those of us who can't handle any power or don't know how to drive. Rather dumb considering that I know a few of us, myself included, owned or own vehicles with high performance that require driving ability and knowledge.

That out of the way, the power and capability is still present, with improved drivability in my opinion. Driving this truck is not as "intense" of an experience, for lack of a better word, as it was with 1.03B. No need to slip the clutch to avoid looking like you're trying to race every soccer mom you come across.

Acceleration is still just as smooth as it was on 1.03B. The only major change to note from what I feel while driving is the much improved alteration to initial throttle. I was already very happy with the previous map but this revision tops it off and I don't think there's anything else to address

At Toyota now for blind spot monitoring issue and he says ,, so we will do a scan and see what we come up with ,,, hmmm so this should be interesting after doing tune last night lol !! ,,

 

Someone posted that they used tech stream and it did not give ANY indication that a flash had been made to the ECU. But, still report back eh?

 

I'll be out driving in about 15 minutes. Letting the truck idle for a solid 20 minutes right now.

I assume you know the ROE for dealer service visits with the tune installed?

Im more worried about someone at the dealer not knowing how to drive a MT than I am them discovering the OVT magic. If anyone ever said something I’d just tell them the MT is better and this is why they should have bought it over the auto lol

 

60 miles on 1.03C this morning. No more surging, throttle input (light, medium, and full) are all linear. Power is still there just not as touchy as before. Well done @OVTune, 1.03C is butter!
