Not a problem, the sooner we have everyone on the same page sharing the same data across the ECU and tune versions, the sooner Matt can crunch the data and refine the tune. I just got back from another data logging run and sent the fresh file to Matt for evaluation. I tried to incorporate a little bit of everything in the drive. Stop/go traffic,Highway, steep hill ascent and decent along with the 5K rpm runs he wanted.

PIDS Matt needs From post #3292 in this thread.

note, in Techstream when you are setting up the logger and you have the list setup with these items, there is an option to SAVE the list, SAVE it and rename it "Tacoma List" or "Tacoma Logging" that way you can always reselect in the future.

Now that you have that setup and connected to the truck go to
    FUNCTION > SNAPSHOT CONFIGURE
this will open some options for the logger

On the bottom set the time to : 30 or 60 minutes

the data I need is >
start the truck on cold idle, let it sit for 2-3 minutes
driving around how you normally would until it is up to temp
2x full throttle pulls to at least 5000 RPM in 2nd gear or higher
    idle, hot 2-3 minutes.

you can capture all of this in 1 single log, save the snapshot (I recommend save it to your desktop, makes it easy to find) and then email me the snapshot data. Please do not export to CSV, I will do it.

Please do not add ANY flags.

Well shit....(fyi, I flashed the 1.03c000..001 91 octane test tune)

I just got back, stopped the recording and named it, then shut off the truck and I have no clue where the file went. I have been saving them in a TSE folder on my desktop, but not sure what happened....Guess its a good excuse to go for another drive after the truck cools down.

To use the hardware from the Tune, in TechStream, at the top of the program, you should see "Setup". Select that and go to "VIM Select". Change interface to "OpenPort 2.0 J2534".

Oh, and the truck has to be "ON". Not just accessory.

When you save your recordings, do you do it while the truck is still on or how do you do it? Last time I shut off the truck not thinking, then when the prompt said I lost connection to TS, I turned the truck back on and then saved it and that seemed to work fine. Not sure how or why I messed it up this time.

If you did what I did and named the same but added a digit ie.Testrun Testrun2 it might be in the same log file but in a sub folder you don't see it unless you open it in Techstream. Click Open scan data file then chose Open service event file then a new window opens and in the left pane you will see one of your file names,if it has a + next to it,it should contain several folders with files with date stamps.

ETA if you did the above (similar name) the file you send Matt will contain all the files in the folder.

So as far as some feedback goes:

Feels really good. It does appear that the throttle response is somewhere between the B and C file. Power still feels the same and shifts feel smoother. Downshifting feels smoother and the hard "kick" when you left off the throttle seems less then I recall.

This is with only 20 miles so far, so take with a grain of salt. I will get out later after the truck cools down and will do another recording.

Sounds very similar to my experience, very smooth. In my case, initially at least, I COULDN'T MAKE IT STUTTER! HAPPY DANCE :taco:

I hope upon hope that this is the end of them for me. Been that way in some fashion since brand new on OEM tune!

@OVTune, Log file sent. First one is initial flash and 10 min idling. Not sure if that would be useful or not. Second is the 2nd gear pull to 6K.

    Flashed back to 1.03B.

I was not able to as well, but with only 20 mile, this is not real data LOL

Looking forward to a little more driving here in a bit. This time I might go up a local canyon that is pretty long with 10-15% grades up and down.
