Hypothetically, if I let it eat in 4th with a long stretch of highway in front of me (no hiding places for bears) it wouldn't shut down even when passing through 180kph. If one were to do that, the overall squirrelyness of the OR suspension and constant kazoo whistle from both door seals would let you know it was time to back the fuck off. Hypothetically, of course.

Sounds like I’m going to need to test this. For science of course.

Dude, I'm becoming more impressed with the test tune every day. It's so damn smooth, NO stutters, no low rpm weirdness, no surge on lift. Pants tight bro, it's really good lol.

Ugh. I’m still just sitting here bashing refresh waiting for the “Monday” release. I’m running 1.03B at the moment, 1.03C was really funky on my truck after a while.

I forgot to mention, hypothetically the truck did this on a slight hill too. I don't care what the 1GR lovers say, this engine screams. I like torque too, but I've driven other v6s that were all low and mid range (3.1L GM V6 in the Sunbird/Cavalier comes to mind) - they don't come close to the fun you can have with the 2GR wide open at 3000+.

Mat said in the Alpha thread to expect a new Flash Mgr and the new and historical files available through it by the weekend. For what it's worth. :)

Bears you say... hmm, I would have guessed moose. Here in PA it's the deer that like to run out in front of you.

I definitely still love the 1GR, but the 2GR is much better with the MT - it really sucked with the gearing in the auto and lack of low end torque. If you had the 1GR mated with the 6 speed auto, there’d be far less complaining for sure.

Anything over 3500 rpm is pretty crazy and it’ll definitely move when you get on it. Some days I still really miss the low end of the 1GR compared to the 2GR but those feelings are going away with each iteration of the tune.

Didn't realize you were talking metrical units.... Down here in 'merika we use what god intended. :D 180kph is roughly 110Mph down here. I may have been there/done that, and may have experienced a slight pucker factor. More testing is required.

That was me and it may have been between 105-110 but it seemed to hit the wall around there in 5th and 6th gear and just wouldn't go any faster. Mt taller tires are throwing off the speedo as well so actual MPH is unknown. Hopefully Matt can come up with a speedo calibration as well.
