Anyone ever have a pucker moment when flashing? I decided to load the 103a 87 octane tune in and got the message the the flash was unsuccssful and not to turn off the ignition or ecm damage could occur. It then asked me if I would like to retry and of course you say yes. After a second attempt it failed again. I left the key on, closed the flash program, turned off my anti virus even though I had mad an exception in the anti virus for the flash program and reflashed successfully.

I tried 4lo and just 2wd at low speed. It’s super smooth. You can creep along at idle around 500 rpm. It’s pretty nice

Exported all my fuelly data and just finished tallying everything up, figured this would be useful info to share.

One thing to keep in mind, the miles I've logged on the truck with the stock tune were from April to November so they would all be with summer blend fuel for the most part. I got my first tune in November, so it would all be winter blend and cold temperatures.

    My Truck:
    2017 DCSB TRD OR 6MT
Stock wheels and tires for first 28K miles
Yokohama Geolander G056 for next 6k Miles
Falken AT3W for last 3k miles on TRD PRO wheels
Diamondback SE topper for 36k miles, Just replaced with Softopper this weekend
    No sliders, armor

    Stock Tune
    26864 Miles
    1313.140 Gallons
    20.458 MPG

    Stock Tune Towing
    1323 Miles
    75.126 Gallons
    17.610 MPG

    OVT 1.03
    4610 Miles
    241.651 Gallons
    19.077 MPG

    OVT 1.03B
    3698 Miles
    190.420 Gallons
    19.420 MPG

    OVT 1.03C
    889 Miles
    45.823 Gallons
    19.401 MPG

OVT 1.03 2T3 (one tank so far with half the trip into 20 mph headwind, MFD was sitting at 20-21 MPG average before the return trip)
    278 Miles
    14.658 Gallons
    18.97 MPG

For those who care about their gas mileage, this would then suggest that 1.03C 2T3 will yield superior fuel economy numbers over time, since that one tank had a headwind you mentioned. Assuming your driving habit doesn't change dramatically

I'd agree with that. I flip back and forth to the real time fuel economy and at least according to the MFD its been consistently staying higher than it had before. I've burned about 25% of the tank I'm on and its currently sitting at about 20 for tank average with that being more city driving than I normally do. On the interstate I was seeing 21+

I hardly looked at my fuel economy pre-OVT, and then I started keeping a closer eye on it once I got tuned since I knew that it would be a frequent concern/question, and with each map, my mileage has increased a bit. On the 2T3 87oct map, I was up to 17.8mpg max, but I did have to drive super conservatively to achieve that, so.... I think I was sitting around 14-15 on stock tune. I do have a truck topper and my area sees frequent wind and sandstorms though, so that's a factor, not to mention I prefer staying a touch higher in the rpm band than most people

I’ve had plenty of these pucker moments - some times it took 10 tries to get it to flash successfully but eventually it always worked - that was using virtual box on my MacBook. I bought a cheap $150 Lenovo for the task and while it does t flash “fast” it never has failed on me yet and I’ve flashed 4 times since I’ve had that cheapie Lenovo

I really have no idea if any 2018 test maps went out. When we were all in the middle of that frenzy of map testing and datalogging, I don't remember any 2018 owners posting about anything like that...

I wanted a test tune but wasn’t sent one. Hence my impatience for the update.

Did you send a datalog to Mat using whatever other map you're on? If you didn't, perhaps that's why you didn't get one. Just coming up with possible reasons. If you did send in a log, then idk man

Only a few data loggers where giving it. A few of us helped Matt log some data to get things fined tuned so not everyone got it.
