Would be sweet if Matt could get that kind of reaction from the Tacoma pedal. :boink:

    Towing update for y’all...

Yesterday I hauled my old smoker, Honda 550 Foreman with full steel skids and two 4’x8’ sheets of steel 1/4” plate. The bed of the truck also had all my fencing tools and three chain saws in it. This all adds up to about 5500 lbs with trailer weight included. Empty trailer 15.7 mpg over the 210 mile trip to my land. Return trip loaded trailer 13.1 mpg for the 210 mile trip. 65 mph top speed both ways 5th gear most of the time mixed city and highway through hilly area.

Truck ran great on the trip to my land loads of power did not even notice the empty trailer was back there.

Return trip the truck was sluggish for the first 45 +/- miles. Stopped for a quick bite to eat and got back on the road. Truck was just about immediately running better. Same kind of terrain, same road surface same weather conditions. I am guessing that the truck learned and corrected for the load and the stop and restart got all the ducks in a row. Truck ran great for the rest of the trip. Actually got a comment from a random driver running the same direction as me. Who stopped for fuel at the same station as me that that my truck appeared to be hauling better than his F150 would. Pleased with the tune 1.04 is great.

Ok so I got my kit today. It has an ODB plug and a USB cable. No USB dongle. Is this complete?

Also the instructions on the website has a software download link that leads to a dead page.

Does anyone here have the correct link for the software?

    Great! Thanks.

Also, the link in the instructions works from my phone, just not my laptop. I can make this work!

    Ooh I'm so excited!

    :bananadance:

Edit: after reading the last few pages of the alpha thread it seems we are waiting for Matt to provide updated instructions to accompany this new kit. I guess I've been waiting long enough that a little longer is no big deal.

@OVTune I noticed in the past you had a pre order list for like a dollar or something. Can I get on that? Or can I do whatever I need to do to get on that list? I'm deployed right now to Afghanistan and don't have the best connection. I don't want it to come available and all of a sudden the next time my internet works, "sold out". Thank you in advance.

flashed from 91 to 87. Power is plentiful in 91 but I enjoy the subtle power with the 87. The power is there just not raging. Imagine hulk as 91 and Thor as 87. 87 has that controlled power but 91 is a f’ing beast.

    Mpg 15.4 91
    Mpg 16.9 87
Not bad. Like the 87 tune so far.

This has been my experience as well. Currently on 87 but I do have a tank of 91 still. Curious as to the way the truck performs and behaves with 85 gas on the 87 tune compared the the 91 file with 91 gas.

I am at half a tank right now and usually fill up then. So I'm going to fill up today with 85 and wait till next fill up, run another tank of 85 and then see how see feels then. Most of the 91 should be out of the system by then I suspect.

Why would you run 85 octane gas? He has stated many times that even 87 on the stock tune can cause knocking. Seems like a bit of a gamble mixing octanes hoping you still end up with 87 after the first tank

If you're at a higher elevation, you have lower octane gas more commonly provided. And at higher elevation, 85 octane is basically 87. I forget what the science is on it, something about AFRs iirc. But anyway, if he's at higher elevation, it's all good.
