Is there a new flash manager to download 1.04 or is this posting by Mat the only place to download them? I don't see a place to download on the first page of this thread or on the OVTune website. The last flash manager I have only downloads 1.03. How are new customers getting access to flash manager and files?

Thanks Tacotoast. You would think the newest installers would be available on their website. Kind of odd.

It's normal. The website is an afterthought until he has his coffee. He's revamping everything and going through a transition right now to streamline the process.

My guess for detuning he truck is like on most commercial vehicles. For reliability purposes. Or to trick the EPA into thinking the truck gets better gas mileage cause of how underpowered it feels sometimes.

Ah I got ya. I wonder how much the flowmaster system helps in conjunction with that or if just putting in that part with the stock muffler system downstream would have similar benefits. Obviously if it does not at that point I might as well spend the extra $500 for the whole thing. Sorry not trying to hijack the thread just want to make my tune better.

I feel that the Y pipe gave the best performance improvement and in front of a stock system it might not sound quite as "aggressive' Mine can be a bit "obnoxious" depending on how I drive it and gets to sounding pretty "exotic under other load conditions. Highway at 70-75mph and about 2500rpm in 5th is a pretty mellow.

ETA after installing the Y pipe I could definitely feel an improvement with the cats restriction being removed.

I honestly could care less about the sound but if your telling me it will improve a little bit i'll take it. It sounds like performance-wise there is a benefit which is what I'm looking for and $500.00 isn't terrible. I assume better acceleration? Also like the added bonus of a better overall aesthetic you get without the stock exhaust pipe visibly curling under the frame...and better ground clearance.

I would say yes it improved performance, removing the secondary cats helped the engine breathe easier.
