It’s probably the best upgrade I’ve done for my truck. I’ve been running it over 25k miles now and I couldn’t go back to stock. It makes this truck what I expected from the factory.

I’m still 100% happy with 1.04a. I am 04B11 and was experiencing the surging issues with previous OV tunes and the stock tune. I was seriously looking for every reason to sell the truck up until 1.04a was released. I started avoiding other upgrades too because I didn’t want to put any more money into a truck I don’t like...

That's all changed! Great throttle response and no surging. Just so happy I don’t have to think about it anymore! I just enjoy driving the truck and happy to pick back up on mods.

My 2017 auto trans truck running the stock tune (has never been tuned) does the same thing in the same situation.... Sounds like a bearing squeelin... Hope that eases your mind,. Or should make me worry?

 I don't have a clue. I haven't been on here in awhile. Is there a new tune? Is there any talk about the power tune?

Not much other than Dylon getting perma banned. No 1.05 yet. Toyota released a new TSB flash so Matt is sorting through that to see if they did anything useful this time.

Dollars to doughnuts,I bet Toyota Corp has ordered/aquired every single version of Matt's tune and has "plagiarized" some of Matt's changes....

That's hilarious, but dang, perma-ban seems a bit extreme. It was just a joke.

Don't bother. The Techstream can't detect the tune. When you do go in if you don't want the update simply tell them not to do it.

On a simple service the techstream is never used on a vehicle. We don't go looking for an update to do. If you were going in for a drivability issue and we are checking for dtcs when the techstream is connected and we do a healthcheck the techstream will let us know if a update is available and may be done.
