what's your configuration? e.g. exhaust, intake, wheel size, tires, any lift or gearing, etc?

i think i can speak for us to say we're curious about this, but end of the day it doesn't matter as long as you have a 2GR-FKS on a MT, but hopefully with 4.3 gears.

Flashed tune 1.04 (91) on Thursday night, promptly drove 2000+ miles on it this weekend, including a beach trip where I pulled out a F250 diesel extended-cab, extended bed. He had chrome wagon wheels and didn't want to lower his air-pressure and dmg his rims.

For those of you on the fence, it's worth it. Don't get me wrong, I did White Rim in Canyonlands NP and the Alpine Loop in Ouray, CO (came down Engineer, too) with the stock tune (fully loaded with 3 people and gear), and she definitely worked just fine.
This is just ... better. In every way. Wish I'd had it then.

Also - I'm 2.5 hrs from Richmond if @OVTune ever needs a loaner manual. And I tend to disappear overseas from time to time and it could be potentially loaned for an extended period.

I’ve been tuned since 1.03B. Then moved to 1.03C and 1.04. Running 1.04 91 for about 2,000 miles so far and love it.

Truck is a 2018 MT pro. Everything stock except the TRD intake and exhaust.

Currently stock with only TRD intake and exhaust. Will be remaining stock for a little while as truck project funds have turned into new baby funds

I would like to now why some trucks can run the 1.04 without any issues while others have had problems and reflashed to previous tunes? I've tried to run the 1.04 twice and the first time it surging at low rpm while accelerating and usually only in second. A couple of months later I decided to give it another shot and it seemed OK when first flashed but after a couple of months it went back to the surging. I'm running the 103a again and it greatly diminishes the surging. The truck is a 2018 Sport M6 and is stock.

My truck also developed a mild low RPM stutter over time on 1.04A 91, most notable when not up to temp. It didn't do this when I first flashed and for quite a while afterward.

1.03B/C was way worse for me, as it stuttered badly 2500-2800 under light to moderate load. I won't go back to the original 1.03 either, because for 04B10 equipped owners, it's a nerfed version compared to what the rest of you got (this was before Mat sorted out the 04B10 shitshow).

Fair warning, my truck is the stepchild of 3rd gens when it comes to driveability weirdness. It stuttered on the factory calibration under load at ~1500 rpm.

Some guys don't have any issues :notsure:

I’ve had mine to weird things a couple times but it’s not consistent. Seems to usually be fuel related for me. Some of the stuff out there is garbage.

My truck had some stutter/hesitation on 1.03 B/C. 1.04 91 has been night and day. Very smooth

I’ve been running Kirkland and Shell 93 ocatane on 1.04 91 with great results. My local shell does 20 cents off premium every Tuesday. I have been topping up every Tuesday whether I need to or not and hitting the Kirkland gas in between. I Had to fill up out of state at a CITGO recently and it definitely seemed to idle/ drive more rough until i topped it back up at my local shell station.

Yup I usually run shell if I can find it and have had good luck. There’s been a few times though where it was an ethanol blend and I feel like the content was too high or something. Gas from flying J truck stop is pretty terrible, I lose like 2-3 mpg it seems like. There’s a few others I avoid as well unless I have to

I have the 87 tune loaded but usually run 91 - nonalcohol if I can find it

Hell yeah, hard to find a lot of places... Alaska may be a hard place to find certain things, but at least all the gas is non-ethanol. I use 92
