    I am very sorry this happened. This 04B10 calibration is really testing me...

    if anyone at all has any problems with 04B11 / 04B12 please let me know right away.

    The 04B10 calibration has some very big differences.

    04B11 / 04B12 are relatively close and 04B12 looks like a "minor" update of 11.

    however 04B10 is considerably different....
    all throttle maps different
    torque maps different
    ignition maps different,
    and so on..

    Thanks Mat,

    Seriously though - If Toyota made such drastic changes between 04B10 and 04B11, they were obviously aware of why they had to do that.. But we M/T owners never got the chance for a new version as there are no TSBs that involve an ECM flash update.
    Frustrating as hell. "Meh, lets just start putting the new code in trucks as they come off the line"

    mkay...!

    Gutcheck first drive...

    Power lol wow!! It's slightly wet out here (but not raining) can't keep traction through first gear. Power is GOOD. Seems very drivable otherwise, doesn't come on too hard, but way better than stock. For example, free revving, is hugely improved. Gets right on it when you hit the gas!

    Can't speak to much else right now, except rev hang... which is still present.

    But this is a big improvement over stock for sure, and definitely over 1.02c.

    Truck feels like a sports car that is basically a little too fast right now. Power is all you want.

    5th gear usable at 35 mph.

    On the road now with a cold engine right after Flash. I have an hour drive plus errands to run in an hour drive home. I will report back later.

    Good to see ppl out enjoying the tune!

    For those running OBD scanners, I’ve got some data I’d like to compare. I’m running a test version of 1.03 for 04B10.

    Normal highway driving @60-65 mph, light throttle:

    1. Throttle position 10-15%;
    2. Coolant 188-195F;
    3. Oil temp 210-230F;
    4. Knock correction learned value
    25.1 deg;
    5. #1 cyl ign timing 40-44ish;
    6. A/F ratio (instantaneous value) 14.5:1
    7. Catalyst temp, B1S2 ~1100F

    I don’t have stock values as a comparison, but I may flash back to 1.01b to see.

    The one that bothers me is the Catalyst temp, because since loading the new tune my exhaust system seems way hotter. It caused some noticeable smoking from the undercoating I had applied a coupla weeks ago. Anyone chime in on normal values? I’m kinda worried about my exhaust valves and Cats.

    That sounds more like a fault in the undercoating, what brand was it? I've had no cats, urd spec u exhaust and tune for months now and my undercoating has never smoked or anything like that. I used 3m pro undercoating spray

    I have Rust Check no drip (similar to fluid film) on the underbody. It smokes for a while when first applied, but had stopped doing that. After flashing to 1.03 test tune, I had a cloud of smoke rising all around the truck again. To be clear, I’ve had the same undercoating applied three times since I got the truck. No extra smoking past the initial bake off when I ran OEM and 1.01b. Also, my muffler/exhaust pipes have a white-ish color to them now instead of that dull brown/copper. Dunno, just mainly looking for OBD data..

    My catalysts run 1000-1450 as the norm on 1.01b. They did run a little cooler on stock but then again stock wasn’t maximizing the fuel either and that range is still well within safety per service manual

    What sucks for 04B10 is we have never have had our trucks on a dyno. So the tune we get never is actually done for our trucks. Instead it's a mesh of i believe the 04B12 that was on the actual dyno. Hell even if we ran a data log run, emailed it and had Matt tune from that file it would be alot closer then a 04B12 that was tuned at sea level. Another problem for me is I'm located a 5280 above sea level which adds to the problem for me. When I tune my Mazdaspeed 3 I run a data log via an accessport. Upload the data to excel. Open the tune program, change parameters and then upload the tune to the vehicle and data log again. Until this happens no tune will ever be catered to a specific vehicle. This is why I have gone into limp mode twice and had extreme knock and pinging on 1.03. I just hope to god my engine is ok. That's my 2 cents what do I know.

    All of the safeties are still in place. So I imagine the engine will be fine.

    Agree. Back to 1.02B and she feels fine. I just had some extreme pinging and knock being retarded so hopefully the sensor did it's job.

    Ok man, that’s a relief. Now, the PID I’m using is Catalyst Temp B1S2, which I assume is a little further downstream from bank 1 sensor 1. I would assume differences in temp between those two would be minimal. What PID do you use?
