it is a bit. but the smoothness and ease of engagement makes up for it now. but not for too long... we need the torque bump back.

So looking forward to 1.05. I am very excited to see the differences between it and 1.04. I think I will try 1.05 87 tune first and see how 91 feels.

Excuse my ignorance on this, but to those mentioning the 1.05 update. Will it be necessary to do the TSB update to utilize the 1.05 update or will the 1.05 be usable on any OE config?

doesn't seem so clear yet although we've seen him say 1.05 will take care of it all... i believe in the alpha thread. also it's been mentioned that 1.05 may not actually take you to 04B13 by name but only data which could be confusing if you ever needed to know which calibration you have, because TS could report 04B12 while you have1.05 which is 04B13?... it's not clear quite yet. wait for 1.05 before knowing for sure.

if it was me i would definitely flash to 04B13 via TS first, become valid with that calibration according to TS, and worry about 1.05 later. just my 2c.

Basically if you don't update ahead of time, and let's say you have 04B12, you will flash 1.05 for 04B12 and have all of the benefits of 1.05 along with the benefits of the 04B13 tune, but your ECU ID will remain 04B12.

so for labor day weekend I'll be driving out of El Paso to visit a buddy in San Antonio. Leaving the 31st and then returning most likely on the 3rd, possibly the 4th if I'm lazy. Bringing my laptop with me just in case 1.05 for the MT drops while I'm out there :D.
