    I don't know about a failure, but.... :D

Thoughts, impressions? Probably not too different than Toyota's update, eh?

Actually, it's a good bit different. At least in terms of power obviously, since I'm running the 91 map. I'd gotten used to 04B13 which isn't bad at all, just makes you wish there was still more low end jump. 1.04R gives that back to you, makes the truck feel really light and ready to get out of it's way. Whereas on 04B13, you still had some sort of sense of weight as you accelerated. A better comparison would be 1.04A vs 1.04R if you wanted to say that not too much has changed. R feels like a more refined version of A

Are you already on 04B13? Or the 2018 equivalent, whatever that is

Would it be worth upgrading from 1.04A to 1.04R? I've been holding off on the TSB update till Mat had a 1.04R for MT.

Probably base your decision on if you want your ECU ID to reflect the new version or not when you run 1.05

From what I have gathered 1.05 will include the 04b13 update/TSB, Matt also indicated that if all goes as planned 1.05 will release this week sometime...

It Will include the benefits provided by 04B13, yes, but if you are not running 04B13 or whatever the 2018 equivalent is, then when you flash the appropriate 1.05 map for your ECU, your ECU ID will reflect the older ECU version, such as 04B12. Only difference. Now, dealers aren't this generous usually, but that does open the door for one to be overly generous and update you without even asking, thereby overwriting your OVT map and requiring you to go home and reflash the 04B13 1.05 map

Looks like I need to flash the TSB/update and then track down a 1.04R 91 file. Can anyone hook a brother up with some links for the files,or do I need to search and email Matt?

    Currently 04B12 on 1.04 91

You can email Mat if you want. Or i can send you the 04B13 files for 1.04R and also for 04B13 itself, provided you have an installed copy of Techstream?

Only big issue I see with flashing a Toyota tsb is Toyota will see that it's been updated at some point and with a gap in between services they could say "you did this, now you have no warranty"
