Ahh, I miss the late 90's. West Texas and a couple other states tested "no speed limit" or "speed limit within reason" in the barren parts of the state. This is how I learned that 177 mph was not within reason, at least according to the nice Texas DPS Officer who kindly showed me that his state issued Z28 was built as well and was in fact fast enough to catch up to me.

Ok first 150 mile drive, and I will say the 91 tune is the most "natural" driving tune so far, which is exactly what I've wanted this whole time. I didn't get a lot of chances to really hoon it out, as it was dark and rainy, so I can't give a full report yet, but so far this is the best tune yet, as far as true accurate throttle responding the way it "should".

I gotta ask regarding the engine braking and increased throttle tables from the blog post, is there something to report here? Can you confirm a coasting throttle angle significantly lower that 15% to 17%?

    Thanks!

I can't say I noticed a significant change over 1.05 91 FO regarding this.... But it is definitely improved over stock. I also wasn't doing a lot of engine breaking this morning. I will give it some more attention on my way home this afternoon.
The other improvement related to this I noticed is on 1.05 91 FO there was a rev bump at 1500rpm when decelerating or braking that was quite pronounced... That is compeletely gone.

    Thanks!

Regarding FO, that was part of my confusion regarding the throttle angle reported in Torque. I wasn't sure if it was the actual throttle plate angle or something related to faux-Atkinson. Either way IMVHO, too much air was flowing for good engine braking.

I wasn't monitoring this for a while and never venture into the Alpha thread, 1.05 91 FO happened a while before the feature list for the current 1.05 was noted in the blog?

I was running the 93 FO tune until 1.06 released and I noticed at my last oil change my oil had a strong gas smell to it. I really liked the FO tune but I think it was running a bit rich as I would occasionally get a strong gas odor as I was idling at a light with a tail wind.

Thanks. That is interesting. In my (weak) mind, I would think that FO would work just like regular MPI with DFCO? Were you seeing the Current MPGs pegging out while coasting?

Yeah, they would peg out but any light throttle input would instantly drop the bar to about 7mpg until it settled.

Interdasting... the last oil analysis I had done mentioned a slightly higher than normal presence of fuel, but that would have been before the FO tune was out, would have been on the 1.03 87 tune. Curious if that might be tune related, or the nature of the DI engines?

Regarding FO engine breaking, it was massively improved at least at low RPM over stock and the previous tunes, but maybe not as much mid to higher RPM, I haven't noticed much change at those ranges for engine braking.

Not sure, but I always give my oil the sniff test to check for fuel smell. I learned the hard way when I blew a cylinder on a Cessna 182 I owned that had a slightly stuck injector. $22k to overhaul the engine.

It might be interesting to monitor commanded versus actual AFRs? I know that pre- and post-TSB / non-OVT during occasional monitoring, they were pretty much spot on unless coasting. Then, the actual AFR would spike as expected. We all know that for best power, a slightly rich setting is needed.

DI is generally better at fuel control, so that by itself shouldn't be related to that problem unless it is squirting hard in some sort of cleaning cycle at shut down. There also, when just pulling the Taco into the garage from the driveway (30ft), I will get reported trip MPGs, so it can't be too bad?

I haven't seen any dongle-less people say they've gotten theirs yet. Dongle users got them from the blog post.

We do not work or send registries on the weekend or holidays.

Pending reg files will be sent today if we get them back from our dev.
Dongle-less files will also be sent out today as well ( as quickly as we can get them out ).

2019 04B40 file specifically we are still working on for support.
