What calibration were you running before tuning?

Im not sure if I just never noticed but im noticing that when you hold the brake pedal down at a stop the engine revs up a bit and holds around 1k, once you release the pedal it drops back down to a normal idle. Any one else have this going on? Im running 1.06/1.05b.

Yes, these trucks are equipped with a hydroboost brake booster and the mashing of the brake pedal makes the booster work harder therefore increasing engine RPMs. It's normal.

Secondly, how hard are you mashing the brake pedal? You really have to apply some force to the pedal to get the booster to work harder.

Yeah I knew about the booster differences but never noticed the revs increasing. Not very hard just enough to stop the truck from rolling when stopped. Its been real cold here lately so maybe thats why im noticing it.

Yeah, it tends to be more noticeable when it's cold.

Hi all, first post :), even though I've followed the last 1000 or so pages on the Alpha release. Try pumping your brakes to build up a strong brake pedal. This fixed my rpm issue.

To be honest, I'm not even sure which this booster uses, vacuum or hydraulic pressure, but maybe this issue pops-up when there isn't enough hydraulic pressure or vacuum? The reason I mention this is my c3 corvette (mechanical) will rev high if there are vacuum issues (ie engine trying to compensate for a vacuum leak=higher rpms). Please correct me if this is totally inaccurate. :)

If you have to pump your brake pedal to build up a stiff pedal you have an issue with either the master or booster. You should never ever need to pump to build pressure. My brake performance is just fine even when cold, as is the pedal feel. The only thing im noticing is a 250-300rpm or so rev increase.

Your corvette uses a carb, when there is a vacuum leak the carb is pulling in more air which will raise the idle. This is entirely different from how an FI engine would deal with a leak.

Something very similar happened on my f250 Powerstroke. Brake pedal all the way to the floor, less than safe stopping power. Master and booster both check out fine, also bled the brakes. The mechanics couldn't figure it out. On the way home, pumped brakes at a light to build pressure....worked like new for over 2 years before I traded in my the Tacoma.

Took my truck on a work trip today. Hoping for my 1.05 files so I can expense some 1.05 mileage.

Did you get what you needed for 04B40?

Man it got quiet in here right after the drop! Where are all the drivers?? :)

This is the best tune yet. I can't quite tell if the power is "the same" as the last version but it's very close, very smooth power delivery, and great throttle control at low RPM. I have not noticed any quirks so far, with over 300 miles down the road. This is the most "cable throttle" feeling tune so far. I would say if this is the last version I am satisfied. Also the 7k RPM is sweeeeeeeet :burnrubber:.

    Thanks @OVTune

If anyone is on the fence about this and were waiting for it to get "finished", now is the time to jump in.

Can you elaborate more on the issue with the 19s?

There is no issue with the 2019s. We simply need a stock raw file readout of the ECU. We have all others. We are adding the READ function into P5Flash, so anyone with a 2019 can press "read" save it, send us the file, supported.
