Thanks glad I could do some good. It has made all the difference in the world with all the amount of towing I do. You will come to realize that backing is much easier with it done as well.

Are you using "revhang" to describe something different from everyone else? Rev hang is where the revs don't drop fast enough in between shifts (e.g with shift pedal pushed in) and you're forced to wait before the RPM of the engine decays enough to match the next gear. Really only an issue when upshifting (gaining speed) and it seems to become more of an issue the higher the RPM.

Shifting at redline from 2nd gear to 3rd requires quite a delay (on the driver's part) if you're trying to shift fast, but smooth.

there is a clear rev hang witch starts from idle to approx 2700rpm.this is easy to see when parked clutch in or out there is an observable difference of rev drop when revving higher then 2700rpm.this must be the one that dumps fuel in2700rpm and lower.

there was a debate here long ago were i be leave it was @Ruggybuggy who insisted the revs should be dropping faster then it is now even from above 3000rpm.this must be the one he and you are referring to.

apparently we may be looking at 2 types of rev hang.if throttle is open or partially open ,this will lead to less drag or engine braking.if you combine DFCO and a closed throttle this may cause a to rapid of a rev drop.Toyota probably wanted to reduce the rev drop to avoid a conflict with the lower rev hang by keeping throttle open,a smoother transition.

even more important,if Mat can control this throttle function.we should look at completely removing the DFCO.this should be possible with out losing engine braking.

    Just ordered for my truck.
I noticed that the instructions say the software can only be registered one time to one computer. I dont own a PC so i was planning on using a buddies computer. Is there a way I can use an external device like a flash drive? That way I have the option to use a different computer later down the road

Yes, if you buy someone's used dongle kit (dongle kits are no longer offered, Mat went to the dongle-less system)

Ok, and a dongle kit will still work with the dongle-less system that I ordered?

No, you would have to cancel your order or sell it to someone. They're separate. The dongle and dongle-less kits achieve the same thing (flashing your truck) through different means.

    Sorry for confusing you.

The dongle kit is no longer sold, so if you're really after it, you're gonna have to track down someone who is selling theirs. Unfortunately, you'll probably just have to suck it up and be tied to one laptop for the purpose of flashing.

I think the only thing that would make this tune better is eliminating DFCO and the learning function.

I'm not sure you can eliminate DFCO without absolutely killing engine braking (the way this thing works right now, anyway). We'll see what Mat comes up with. I'd be happy to test something simple, like lowering the injector cut-in RPM threshold to like 800-900 rpm.
BTW, under normal driving circumstances, DFCO will save you fuel... so there's that.
