It actually does not feel that bad. Just not the power I am used to. I can feel the bigger tires again.

So fast track from the first version to the most current.

What's the tune doing in a nut shell, for us MT Owners?

There is only one version of the dedicated M/T tune - 1.03. All others were auto trans ported tunes.

It simply makes the truck driveable (normally). Plus, you get usable power down low, and more in the midrange/high end on 91 Octane.

Throttle response is greatly improved (non-goofy assed rev match now possible), there's no dangerous bog off the line, and that weird delay when upshifting and getting back into it is also gone.

2nd gear is usable in parking lots now.

You can cruise along at 35mph in 5th, with enough torque to happily go on your way. My daily drive includes a few miles of 40mph in 6th gear - also not a problem holding speed. You won't be accelerating very fast though.

Wind it up in 3rd/4th on the highway and it'll put a smile on your face (for a midsize truck).

Highway cruising at 60-70 is a breeze too.

    Idle stability has been improved.

    Anything I missed guys?

I agree with everything said. With the tune, it feels like it should have. I think 1.03 still has some bugs but it's pretty good. I have ran ever version I guess.

Anybody running a Pedal Commander with this version? I took mine off and have not reinstalled it, but I am very tempted to reinstall and start with a low throttle opening boost. So far the tune is very good. Big help with the 1st gear bog.

I've never run a PC, but I understand what it does. IMO, it's redundant (and maybe even useless) once you're OVtuned. Then again, I prefer a linear/predictable throttle with a M/T - I don't want to lose resolution if that makes sense.

@MOC221_ I was still running it on 102.C; it was actually very nice. While I understand and agree with desirability of a linear throttle response, I am not convinced we are there yet. My gut feel is we still have wonkiness with low-end throttle opening and higher end VVTI control. Guess I'll try it and let everyone know how it feels. If it throws a code/CEL I'll post that too.

Cool man, yep let us know

Edit: I highly doubt you'll throw codes, but in case you do throw one related to throttle like us 04B10 guys did on an early test tune (which put us in limp mode), you're gonna want some way to clear DTCs on the side of the road while you're removing the PC. Limp Mode is fucking dangerous.

@MOC221_ OK, just reinstalled it on SPORT at the lowest attenuation. Feels truly linear! Nice! Only did a few miles. Will carry my computer in case I need to reflash for a while. Looking forward to Mat's app that will allow us to do diagnostics and clear codes/DTCs/CELs. I used VAG-COMM (aka VCDS) on VAG products for years and miss having that functionality.

    Will follow up.

You can clear DTCs in PcmFlash without re-flashing the ECU I believe.. personally I use a Carista BT scanner and the OBD fusion app. Lots of nice features and a ton of PIDs if you buy the in-App upgrade for Toyota specific PIDs.

Again, I highly doubt you'll throw codes.

Yoda voice "hmmm.... interesting..." I hate to buy that now until I can see what Mat's app will do, but it sounds good. Had to use something similar on my BMWs for coding and diagnostics.

Carista is far superior, but for 5 bux for torque pro app and 20 for the BT obdii dongle...it does the monitoring. I believe carista is bi directional...dunno for sure

What turned me off with Carista is you pay for access to the full app now - but then you have to renew it (a license). It's not cheap either.
OBD fusion is like $13 CAD for the app (full featured) + another $13 CAD for the Toyota specific PIDs. One time deal. There's literally hundreds of PIDs to play with, plus diags, logging, dashboards etc etc.

Sounds to me that all trucks manufactured in 2015 are 4B10. How about the other 3 owners with 4B10 whats your manufacturer date?

04B10 here.. manufactured 09/15. I believe @Ares32 is in the same boat.

I don't think anyone has seriously looked into when the change in ECU version happened, but I recall a few members reporting 05/16 manufacture being on 04B11.

    :notsure:
