@St.Germain and I have very similar exhausts,we both have the URD Y pipe cat delete, downstream from that we have different parts. No CEL from the cat delete Y pipe on mine.

Not to derail thread but we’re there noticeable gains with the y-pipe cat delete?

My butt dyno noticed an immediate difference, real world dyno...who knows:notsure: I do know it seemed to lose some low end but increased top end power. It also increased drone immensely, I solved both problems by adding a 2 1/2" spiral louvered glasspack in front of the muffler. I have the Flowmaster American Thunder dual outlet system down stream of the Y pipe/ and glasspack.

My butt dyno is saying good things aswell, but I doubt the Golf GTI I met earlier was happy about it.

Check out the URD Spec u thread. That is the way exhaust I have and it deletes the rear cats. I had no lights or codes come up after install. It has been on for over a year.

Looks good! Been planning for a couple months to buy the Spec-U exhaust once the snow melts and I can work on my truck again. Love that sound. Good ground clearance since the exhaust has the t-case re-route.

Yah. My only issues were the drone was a bit much at first so I welded in a resonator and the exit of the tailpipe reduces ground clearance quite a bit. I am trying to come up with a solution short of getting a different dump pipe.

That's interesting, you must have the first Gen system. The pipe from the drivers side crosses over in front of the transmission/xfer case cross member on mine.

Do you have the URD y-pipe or the URD Spec-U equal-length exhaust? They have different routing.

Yeah.....I really hate computers. I argued with it for about 15 minutes. It would identify on the p5, but when I tried to find the downloaded tunes files they weren't there in the
indicated location. At that point the wind started blowing rain into the garage right where I was at, so I unhooked and retreated to the dry....

Just flashed my truck tonight as a first time user. No problems. The PDF installation instructions seemed accurate.

I'll give the 87 FOB tune a few days to settle in and give myself some time to adjust. The throttle is very responsive, maybe even twitchy now. My WRX was just the opposite -- stock, it had a big jump at tip-in, while the Taco stock throttle slope is almost flat.

You dont need to be connected to the internet to flash. Prep in the house, take it into the truck... I see no need for standing in the wet.
