the handing becomes way less truck as speeds increase. i setup the truck for the highway. it more or less drives like a small truck up to 75 and that's where or starts to change. and then I'm off! if you keep the stock suspension & tires it will keep on like a truck and basically become unsafe above 80 somewhat. but i haven't found unsafe yet. well except for that one time...

    Ha!

I've had it moving nicely in the past, but was only in a massive rush once just a few weeks ago. I came away even more impressed. It was 80+.

Well, when I started test driving Tacos, the first thing I drove was a Sport... suckomatic, unfortunately. Ugh... actually, I drove a few suckomatics before I could finally find a 6MT to drive. That was a Sport too. But I ordered the OR anyways.

It's all good no matter what. It did take me a while to creep up on my limits, but that is the same for everything that I mess with.

you would probably be shocked by how i drive this thing. honest truth, i set it up going for a kart-like dynamic and adapting to a front heavy weight balance. so once i'm over 75 i'm essentially driving it like a kart relying on LTO and bump steer to control the thing, literally. if i wasn't really good at LTO and using bump steer to turn the truck then i'd be in a wall right now. you just would not believe what this chassis is capable of on-road. can't say too much about here or you get the "but it's a truck" line. of course most around here either aren't familiar with LTO, believe throttle steering is not possible on this truck, or consider bump steer all bad never good. obviously, i don't see it that way.

I totally get it and agree. In the dry the limits are pretty high even with the stock tires. It's the wet is where I have fun. Often I'll get a four wheel drift going on highway ramps or nice corners with good sight lines using LTO to start it, then adding throttle to break the fronts loose. It is a bit more communicative without the SB.

I've said it in the past, I will roll up behind German sedans when hitting some of the fun corners. It makes me laugh that they spend so much to do so little.

when i was waiting for my Tacoma i was driving my old Subie Impreza wagon, NA2.5 5MT, with a rebuilt motor and clutch. everything else was bone stock and going soft, but that was the most damn tossable fun car. my R32 weighed like 3600lbs or something gawd awful like that. i can't imagine yours. same weight as my old Impeza with all the bells & whistles. of course i got the Tacoma after totaling my R32 to slow me down. and that didn't work at all.

Subarus are so fun. When I met my wife, she had a MY04 5MT Impreza 2.5TS wagon. It was bone stock until I got my hands on it. Since I always start with suspension, I put in JDM STi WAGON struts and springs, front and rear strut tower braces, GD WRX sedan rear sway bar. That car was pretty fun to drive even though it was so fatty fatty. But it was funny... she would drive the Turtle (93 Impreza Wagon) more than her own car because it was so much more fun. Plus, I had a Sparco Evo as the driver seat in that car. She was just talking about that car last night, she loved it so much. LOL!

    FN Six Shooters, 17x8 et0 BS4.5", 21lbs ea
Cooper AT3 LT E range (or STMaxx usually) 265/65-17 (these are some seriously stiff tires being both smaller and E range, and i'd generally recommend 70 aspect or larger unless you're really into stiff tires).

Do you feel like the 0 offset helped in stability?

yes. stability and tracking are my focus in any vehicle so i'm definitely looking for that, however subtle. i feel the balance is right on and it's much more high speed stable than it was before, but there have been a lot of changes since i ran the stock wheels, C tires, etc.
