Your also running Hammer Hangers, correct?
So biggest improvement, HH or wheels/tires?

yeah i have HH. they are damn amazing.

but if i had to choose wheels/tires (and could do both of those) OR HH? i would go with wheels/tires and save the HH for later. you'll get what you like but if you're running E's in the rear you will be jittering a lot in the rear until you get the hangers. that would't be much of a problem if i didn't mention it. ;)

I would say that I felt a difference after installing the bed stiffeners, but then folks would just laugh and say that the bed doesn't spread. :D

    repost from the private thread:

have any of you FOB or recent tune users seen fluctuating power steering assist at low rpm? i never had this before maybe FBO iirc, but at times in p lots the assist just flat drops out on me and i'm turning the wheel unassisted. i'm not really concerned and it probably makes sense, but i mention it because it's consistent and it never showed in previous tunes. unless my memory is totally whack, and that is possible.

Just got back from my first drive OVTuned. My truck is pretty much stock, ‘17 TRDOR MT for reference. I flashed the 93 octane FOB tune. Here are my thoughts:
    • Rowing through gears finally feels as it’s supposed to. First to second noticeablely smoother. I don’t know if it’s just less rev hang or more predictable but this truck prior to today has made me question my skills at times. Turns out my feet have been doing what they need to, the shitty stock tune resulted in hard felt shifts a times. Much improved
    • FOB is awesome. I always hated feeling when the truck would switch cycles and so I appreciate being able to get on ‘er and have constant linear acceleration
    • Downshifting is easier because the truck is more predictable so rev matching is second nature
    • Truck drives way more like a truck of this weight and size should, idk how to describe I guess it kind of feels lighter?
Overall I am very pleased. The truck now drives the way it should have the day I drove the fucker off the lot. Mat knows what he’s doing and I am excited to see what he has in store for us MT guys in the future. It was worth the money and wait. Thank you @OVTune

Now I just want to rip through gears but work calls!

Over engineerd.i avoid any German made products at all cost. They are incredible engineers, but that’s the problem! They engineer you right back to the dealer.

Exactly. We learned that 'luxury' vehicles are not worth it in the end, and that was just owning a saab and a volvo. Stayin' Japanese!

Although, I was mainly commenting on these sporty cars rolling at a nice speed through a corner, yet I'm gaining on them easily having much more fun.

Head down to New Mexico sometime. It’s fun. You can haul ass in the taco since it has the suspension to handle the trash roads down there

I loved my Lexus. I didn’t love the markup for Toyota parts that came in a Lexus box.

That is another benefit. I remember the days of crawling over speed bumps and curbs. Pothole targeting is fun now.

Another (good) neighbor has our saab. They haven't figured out to hit the sidewalk curb at an angle. Always bouncing the bumper off of it. I still enjoy hearing the sports exhaust on that.

It is great when you see / feel a consumer / light duty anything and compare it to the same thing in industrial grade.
