Pretty much how I learned to program PLCs, robots, servo systems, and everything else I touch on a daily basis. Get a project that uses them, download all the manuals and figure it out. The company doesn't make money sending you out for training every other week when new equipment shows up. They pay you to be flexible and intelligent.

Hey is anyone here having issues with the data logger? When I open the program it loads the data from the truck for a second, then crashes and closes the program. I've seen a few people saying they have a similar issue but, nothing about a fix.

Maybe I missed it somewhere but, was there ever an info on this?

*EDIT* datalogger randomly started working but, I don't see the full list of parameters. Do the auto trucks have different engine monitoring options than us?

You are not alone but there may not be that many of us. Mat told me back in late January he knows about it and will look into it when he has time . He has a lot of irons in the fire right now. I open the logger , select the cable and the window just moves toward the task bar and disappears . I had it working on 1 out of 2 computers ( I have a dongle)and then when I installed the new flash manager neither works . I have up to date Windows 10 home editions , 64 bit .on both , and made exceptions for antivirus for the files . Maybe someone can help Mat out on this ?

I'm having some confusion regarding the difference between the latest versions of the tune, particularly FOB vs Performance. I just installed the new flash manager and I see 4 tune versions listed: Base, Performance, Gear Lock, and FOB. I understand what Base is and I know Gear Lock is for the Auto guys, but in reading through the discussion on here I was under the impression FOB was just what people were calling the Performance tune, but apparently not, they are 2 different things? I tried to download the performance one but it gives me a download error; I tried this with all 3 octane options. I can however download the FOB versions. Am I missing something? Or are FOB and Performance the same tune, just listed twice in Flash Manager? I try to keep up but these threads are so huge and spread out I feel like I keep missing key info. Thanks in advance if anyone can shed some light on my confusion!

This new 87 performance tune isn't available for the M/Ts yet correct?

Right, I'm running the 93 FOB currently. My question was; All the new dyno development @OVTune did over the weekend with the A/T 87 performance tune (changes to ACIS), if/when those changes are coming to a M/T tune.

Sorry if that wasn't clear before.

Yes. It seems there is a certain degree of free pedal movement before the engine starts to rev when there is no load, ( clutch in or in neutral). Then of course its stays rev'd up after you let off.

Did you ever find an inexpensive windows tablet that would work for tuning. I am a handheld pre order person, but have finally grown impatient and am thinking of switching to traditional dongle less. It could be a long time before the handhelds are ready and I really want the tune after seeing how much everyone likes it.

This has been more noticeable for me after loading OVtune. Is it just the tune highlighting the shortcomings of the truck, or the tune doing it? And is there a fix?
