I absolutely would have loaned my truck, but unfortunately I was 12-13 hours away from him when he was in SoCal, without the freedom to go without my truck for an extended period of time in another state, or with the time available to make an extended trip. Unfortunately I now have much more free time (for now), but he's even further away (like 19-20hrs from me now)

I saw where yall were in Wilmington doing Dyno testing, unfortunately I didnt see it until late saturday night. I was in Myrtle Beach for the weekend and it wouldnt of been that far to come to get a manual on the dyno. I live near Charlotte,NC, so if you have a dyno session near me, I can take a friday off and be available all weekend. I'm stock except for magnaflow muffler. I already have Ovtune, I just want the rev hang gone:D

lol I was doing 1000+ miles a week for a long time. Currently, I've done 1500 since the first of the year with most of that being one trip. I'm not really sure what to do now. my truck feels so neglected.

    Ha!

Yeah. It's not so much about getting in, but getting back home! Maybe CBP might give you a pass if you got maple syrup on your breath?

From what I've heard getting into Canada is way easier - they basically say welcome to Canada have a nice day.

    You'd think, but . . .

Weirdly back on the Sons of Sheep Fuckers Tour 2017, we did have a strange experience. We tried to bounce into friendly Canada at the Laurier crossing in NE WA. The CBP folks were extremely unhappy there. On the way back at the Roosville crossing in NW MT, it was probably the chillest entry that I ever had.

A bucket list trip for sure.

Has anyone been able to compare ovtune to the oem TSB flash that was released for the manuals a few months back? Ive read a lot, but 518 pages is tough with so much filler

Is the improvement still pretty apparent there? I feel like the 3.5 has a lot more power available, just Toyota’s tune isnt letting us touch it

I'm still very early in, but I had about 7k on 04B13 and dropped in 87 FOB a couple weeks back. 04B13 was a major improvement over 04B12 while boosting my MPGs by about 1.5 to 2.0. Looking at OVT's recent dyno charts shows that there was a small power bump in the low end that I felt. It made shifting feel more normal. OVT is a large step beyond that. I said it elsewhere, but it was the first time that I wasn't consciously paying attention to the throttle. Pretty freaking stellar. Also, MPGs looks to be holding at pre-tune levels. I plan to run at least one more tank on this tune then give FOB 91 a few tanks to try.

very much so. With the tune the power is available MCUH lower and more linearly in the RPM band than with any Toyota calibration.
